Needs help
I have played this course several times over the last 2 years. This course is a hidden gem in Mchenry County. In my opinion, this course could potentially be the best course in McHenry County if they advertised more. It does look as though they don't have lot's of money to put into the course because it's a little run down. The club house is run down as well. It's really is a shame compared to other courses in the area how they staff this place. There are weeds growing in a bunkers while I seen the grounds crew screwing off. 4 of them to fill divit boxes on the tees? Not my place to ask the owners to put a little money into it. If I were a betting man, I would bet this will be up for sale in the next few years. It's a challenging course and I will be back.
Nice Course
Nice course! Hole 11 is odd but a good challenge. The tee boxes were very hard this time of year. It was difficult to get a tee in the ground. Shut up...I'm a strong guy! Just golf there.
Beautiful Setting
It's old pretty well maintained very tough people need to repair ball divots
Oak Grove Golf
Nice natural beauty and wildlife. Greens were pretty rough with a ton of ball marks. Several were tricky. Great value. Not crowded.

Pleasently surprised. Challenging course well maintaned and a value for the money. Kind of a hidden gem
Hidden Gem
Oak Grove is by far the best and most difficult course anywhere around. You have to be on your game and hit the ball straight. The fairways are in great condition and the greens play very slow. If you are an average player, bring lots of balls. Can't wait to play again!!

Course is in great shape fairways are in excellent condition greens were slow because of the heavy rain cart paths need a lot of work !
Love Oak Grove
I personally love going to Oak Grove for a great afternoon of golf. The course is beautiful, challenging, and scenic.
