About
Situated on Chicago's scenic North Shore, Lake Bluff Golf Club has become a "must-play" destination in the area. First opened in 1968, the course has a classic layout with front and back nines that are very different. The front nine provides a gentle start. The terrain is mostly flat and the holes are straightforward. As you move onto Lake Bluff's back nine there is more up and down and consequently the challenges are greater. Don't get too comfortable on the first half of the golf course because you'll need your wits about you for the second. Trees line the narrow fairways and the tricky greens all slope in one direction or another. Accuracy is essential. Water doesn't come into play but the doglegs and strategically placed bunkers provide plenty of challenges.

Great course
The place was packed, which caused a cart shortage and a delay but the staff was very friendly

Good layout .
A very good muni course that was a very good value for the $.
Nice outside
We started 10 holes around of the course, pretty good. First 9 holes r boring kind of back and forth.
Good value and good challenge without unrealistic penalties.
Could be better
Perfect weather.
Greens were very challenging and in excellent shape....would be even better if other golfers fixed their ball marks.
Fairways were in great shape.
There were ball washers on every hole, which was nice.
The tee boxes needed to be mowed.....and this was a Saturday afternoon!!
Carts were a problem (again)....our cart was the worst EVER! The gas fumes were really bad, the engine kept backfiring and jerking the cart about, unless you were going full speed. When I complained to the guy in the pro shop, he just shrugged and said they were getting new carts in June..
Golf
Nice course, little confusing for finding hole numbers and no paved paths. It was backed up and waited 10 minutes each holes, no Marshall to check . Otherwise good condition and well kept
Fast greens
Nice long course considering this time of the year. Greens are tricky and fast.
Cart path needs repair;pretty bumpy .
