River Bend Golf Course

Booked 11:04 tee time with TeeOff. Course said our time was 11:20. Not first time this year tee times were changed without knowing. Get your act together. Very crowded day, took nearly 3 hrs to play 9 holes. Course recently areated greens with no sand filler, ruff putting day. Several greens with burnout areas, front to much watering or lack of watering. Good layout course, normally in better shape.

Nice layout with enough long yardage holes to satisfy. Can play slow when too many beginners are up ahead.

In great shape for late October and a week of rain

Although this is a good course to golf, the staff ate NOT friendly, there are long long wait times, and STAFF NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. Tried calling twenty times to cancel and always busy. Physically had to go into cancel.

If you can tolerate all the above, enjoy your golf!!!!

I've played this course several times, its challenging! The only issue is the pace of play. Typically this course has 8 minute interval tee times. Compared with other courses that do 10 or 11 minute intervals. The shorter times cause late starts and bunched players because of the wide range of abilities playing. The other couses I play have longer intervals, which makes for a much more relaxed round. Here, I feel rushed .

The staff was great, the course was awesome, a great deal pricewise. Very disappointed that the bar and restaurant we’re closed

This is a nice little course. Got some basic holes and some real challenging ones. I just wish it was run better. Starter let off 4 twosomes in a row. And when we got on the course, it was long waits with no end in sight. No ranger to push play. We left at the 7th hole at over 2 hours already.

Seems like they were way over booked. There was a line of 4 groups just at one hole. Took me over 3 hours to play a round of 9. Staff wasn't very friendly at all. They were a lot nicer last year. I don't know what happened, but this course got worse. Seems like they are letting people go even if they are fully booked. Seems like all they want is the money. To me, living in lisle, prices are way to high. Course is extremely close together. You have the risk of getting hit on every whole. Doesn't matter where you are.

Showed up and there was not a time available at the course - did not play

Greens roll true, really nice speed....1st time ever playing- won’t be the last...highly recommended...great 9 hole layout, excellent service in the pro shop and at the beverage cart!

I only got to play 8 holes in two hours and twenty minutes. Some of the tee boxes were in terrible condition. No racks were in the traps. OK, but they hadn’t been racked in days.

Have played here twice now and no complaints. Longer than some of the other nine hole favorites like Flagg and Sugar Creek. Will keep on rotation.

Played with a friend who is a decently good golfer like myself, & it took us almost 3 hours to play 6.5 holes because of the pace. For comparison, we played 9 holes at the Downers Grove golf course 2 days before in about 1.5 hours. I love the course, and the conditions were pretty good. The issue was having to wait on the group(s) in front of us on every single hole (and the group behind us continuing to drive very near us while we were on the fairway waiting for the group on the green). It caused some anxiety which is the opposite of what golf is meant to produce. Another thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the staff. The guy at the pro shop was great, told us they were backed up on tee times so we went to my friend’s car to get some water after checking in. The guy giving us our cart told us we were “late” when we came down to the 1st tee literally the exact minute our tee time was (2 groups in front of us sitting at hole 1 waiting to tee off). I thought he was joking so I let out a chuckle, he wasn’t joking at all & looked at me with a straight face. Then, as we tried to squeeze in one more hole, the Marshall told us we needed to leave immediately after he passed 3 different groups trying to finish hole 8 and 9. I watched him drive right past them mentioning nothing to them as I tried to find my drive in the fairway. He mentioned in 3 different ways that we need to get off the course (heard you the first time bud), and when I told him I would just find my ball on the fairway & leave he said in a condescending tone “you’re not going to find your ball anyway”. Found it in the middle of the fairway thank you very much. In conclusion, it’s a nice course & well kept. I’ve enjoyed their patio, food and drink, and course. The very slow pace and attitudes of the staff were questionable.
