Good Beginner Course
Good beginner course for those learning to play golf. The pace of play was really slow so it gives beginners a chance to hit a bunch of shots and practice their putting without holding anybody up. Spent 3 hrs playing 9 holes. Tee boxes were in rough shape and the fairways, they need to offer training on how to repair divots. Greens had just been aerated so it’s tough to tell how well I putted. Overall, course needed some TLC.
Super slow
Played 9 holes for 2 hours 44 minutes. Greens are in bad conditions.

Ok but need ranger , need to keep the pace other golfer
Geese poo galore
couldn't take 2 steps without stepping on geese poo. played cog hill the weekend before and no problems with geese poo.

Course cleanup needed
The course was in “early Spring” condition..aerated greens, messy, lack of drainage, etc. The one notable thing was the complete lack of course cleanup and maintenance. Several garbage cans, which had been full and not emptied, had been blown or knocked over - trash was strewn all over. No excuse for that.

Good times
We had an amazing time and experience. The course is challenging and the price was great.
Great 9 hole course
My buddy and I played on a balmy day in December, which is an extreme rarity in Chicago, so naturally the course was packed. So despite teeing off 15 minutes late, the pace of play was great. NO waiting on any of the holes. This is a course that I have played many times, so I know it well. It is my favorite 9 hole course in the Chicago area. It has a great layout, with a variety of holes. Compact layout - easily walkable. Highly recommended.

50 degrees and sunny in Chicago on December 9 what's not to love. First time here but def not last time. I'm sure it's a beautiful 9 in the summer!
Cold, Windy & Challenging
We've played this course several times this year. This was our final outing of the year and the weather was cold & windy making it a challenging day. Like the length and layout of the course. Due to year-end conditions, the course was less than desirable. I plan to play here more often.

Slow pace of play
Fun and challenging 9holes. But 8 minutes between tee times is not nearly enough. Waiting every hole. 3 hours for 9 holes is not good.

River Bend Review
TeeOff time was 11:04am, course said our tee time was 11:20am. This is the second time this year TeeOff provided incorrect time on booking. Course very crowded, took nearly 3 hrs to play 9 holes. Some greens has burn marks from lack of water or too much water. Greens aeriated, but no sand to fill the holes, very bumpy greens. Nice layout and normally pretty quick greens.
