Broken Arrow Golf Club - South/East
About
Broken Arrow Golf Club, located just southwest of Chicago's Loop, offers 27 holes of championship golf. There are three nines: East, North, and South that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course begins with a links-style nine. The front of the course is accented by the landmarks of its former use as a farm. The original farmhouse and silo can be seen from the first teebox. Throughout the front nine, golfers will be faced with 22 bunkers, seven ponds, and multi-tiered greens. The golf course doesn't get any easier on East nine, which is arguably the most difficult of the three. The back nine features a slew of sloped fairways, hidden water hazards, and strategically placed bunkers. Course management is essential throughout the entire golf course.

3 Full 9 hole coases.
If you like pure greens with multiple breaks and just enough water to keep you on your game, this is the coarse you. Multiple tee boxes which can challenge even the long hitters, but will allow everyone with a tee box to fit there game..
Nice course very poor amenities
Nice course But needs lots of work on their amenities cart person and range. Bring your own food and drink will be the only way your eating and drinking.
1st time on course
1st time on this course, really enjoy it. I would come back again.
Broken Arrow is a good spot to play for all abilities
I played here with my 16 year old son who is a pretty good competitive golfer. He found some challenges along the way. We had an unusually hard time finding errant shots (mine) but all in all it was a good day. It was a bit wet but not crazily and I thought 90 degrees would have been good enough vs cart path only for the carts. The layout is good, with a couple quirky holes but all in all a great experience
Broken Arrow golf club
Overall the golf experience is very good! The only disappointment is the bar girl! When ordered the drinks, we thought that our drinks will be served at where we were - Patio! After waiting a while, I got I and found out that the drinks are I. The bar counter! I immediately paid the drinks, the working girl did not even offer to help get the drinks out! It took me twice to take the drinks out to the restaurant patio!
Good
Great course myself and the guys can get out on and not worry about simple things. This course isn’t a pack and play. They do a great job or space and keeping it moving but enjoyable. Many holes are challenging and make it fun for some friendly wagers.
Hi Jared. We appreciate you leaving a review and rating us. We will inform the entire team, so they know their hard work is paying off. We look forward to having you back!
Windy Day
All in all Broken Arrow is in decent shape. Still opening up - range was closed but should reopen soon. See my review of 7/28/18.....conditions were about same - sand traps are hit and miss you'll never know what you'll get but they are maintained - several did not have rakes (yet). Greens still have some aeration marks but are rolling decently - a tad slow but okay. Broken Arrow is a pleasant play and with 27 holes you can make a day of it. I really like the double green North nine - it's the best designed. South nine is nice- the East nine is the most difficult of the three. 3.5 stars overall due to good pace of play this day - gave it a 3 because the fairways need to have the divots filled/tee boxes need attention/some sand traps are dirt. Recommend. A nice play in the Southwestern burbs - $30 value.
Hi. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting us. We hope to see you again in the future!
Hello Matthe, We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
One slow group
Played at early Sat in Oct on a cold morning. Maybe 4 or 5th group out. Front 9 took 2.5 hours and we were a 2 sum behind a 3 sum behind a 4 sum. We waited on every shot. 3 sum behind us called pro shop to ask to get the 4 sum moving but no help. We finally were able to play through both groups on 11 & 12 and finished in 4 hours. No reason for 5 hour rounds. As for course, Sand Traps were a mess. Many full of water or eroded. The rest was in good shape.
Make a day out of this course
They've got it all! Very friendly staff in the pro shop, cart staff as well. INCREDIBLE cheeseburger in the restaurant, really great rates to play and they have nice carts. It's cool they have 3 nines to play so you can play this course multiple times and get a different experience each time. Would definitely recommend this course and plan to play 27 holes! We will be back again!

Course is in very good shape, except.....
Course is in best shape in years, could use ranger to push along slower groups. 4:45 round too long with last group of morning regulars 3 some ahead holding up our foursome. The traps need better drainage and fresh sand. there was standing water in quite a few, and it hasn't rained in a few days. There is NO drinking water on the course, so bring a bottle if you are going to play here. I recommend the course. nice people, fast well kept greens, and good value
Golf Gem in Lockport
I have been playing this course for years and it still remains challenging as ever. The layout of the South and East course is very challenging with the east being slightly harder.
i was disappointed with the condition of the sand traps on the East course. After almost a week of no rain, several traps still remained water logged and all the traps appeared to not have been raked in weeks.
I am not a fan of the type of “sand” they are using these days, as i feel it could double as dirt based on the consistency. Sadly this seems to be an ongoing issue with sand traps in the chicago land area, not just Broken Arrow.
Lastly, i miss the opportunity to work in the North course to the mix. I like the slightly more wooded hole layouts. I understand that you can play the North in the morning upon request. Please bring back the option to book various combinations of the 3 nines throughout the entire day.
While my review is a bit critical i will return to play this course again so long as things don’t worsen.
Worth a try
May a bad layout, decent pace of play and not unreasonable price ( Golf now hit deal).
Off course was lacking.
Hello! We are sorry for that error on our part but thank you for your 5-star rating! Please book another round with us soon.
