Plush and challenging greens!
I love this course! So much that I went back today and plan to return tomorrow. The layout is great, perhaps tight in some places but each hole is unique. The greens are fantastic compared to nearby Cog Hill. It is like walking on a cloud and each is challenging. If you cannot get air under your ball, this is not the course for you. The staff is friendly and they surpassed my expectations. You can golf at other nearby places but they do not compare to this place and you get a better value here. While some of the bridges and cart paths may be in need of some TLC, it is a small price to pay for the beautiful scenery. The are only two holes adjacent to a local street. This course has one of the most challenging Par 5 holes (#9) I ever played being over 600 yards. I highly recommend this course!
Big Run
Second cut was terrible spent more time looking for balls then enjoying the course.
Big Fun
Played yesterday, course is in much better shape than a couple reviewers claim. $42 weekday price for seniors is a great deal for one of the best looking and most unique courses in the Chicago area.
Great course!
This course is a hidden gem (it shouldn’t be) w it’s classic layout of trees and exceptional undulations. The upkeep and pace of play is great.
Tee boxes made for all levels of skill, but don’t take this course for granted, it will challenge
the best golfers, I guarantee that!
The staff is great and the bar is very friendly.
I highly recommend eating the weekend bbq of burgers and dogs!
Challenging Layout
Greens are outstanding and roll true.
Both the par threes and par fives give you all you can handle. Course is hilly and has a lot of nice vista's from the tee boxes or looking back from the greens.
Overall, if you want to play an extremely challenging golf course in the southwest suburbs, this is the place to go to in which you are not paying top dollar to play.
Fairways and Roughs
The Fairways were absolutely brutal. They were more like light roughs. And the Roughs (even 1st "cut") were so thick I thought i was playing the US Open. No way armature barley missing the fairway should take 20 minutes to find ball not to mention breaking your wrist trying to get it out much less forward with distance. I am a 12 so not a hack.
Don't be Scared!
For years have been wanting to get here but playing partners where reluctant due to the course having hills. Personally found the course undulations to be a welcome challenge to my game and loved the many aged trees. It was 90 and high humidity but the joy of each hole made us press on to the end.
