Big Run Golf Club

Had not played the course in over 50 years. Great layout. Excellent greens. Fairways acceptable. Rough fine. Guy in shop was excellent. Overall, great test for good sticks. Probably too hard for beginners and folks that only play occasionally. Cardiac hill (18) is a beast.. I recommend it.

Have always enjoyed Big Run G.C. but it is not aging well. It is a difficult course, that used to be beautiful but is now showing its age due to poor maintenance. Greens were in good shape albeit a bit too long. Fairways are decent. The rough is a mix of weeds and grass. Green side Bunkers are quite firm with not enough sand. Several fairway bunkers were overrun with weeds. Wooden bridges are patched with plywood and long overdue for replacement. I can only assume Big Run will soon be redeveloped as residential homes given the lack of care. Too bad, it used to be beautifully landscaped and a pleasure to play.

Great public golf club in general. Staff is great, the clubhouse/bar has a great vibe. It’s got no frills and it’s down to earth.

The course is well kept in-spite being busy place, pace of play was good and course itself is challenging without being unbearably hard.

I haven't played this course in over 5 years. I can say that the conditions have greatly improved over my prior experience. The greens were fantastic a little slow, but in great condition—multiple tee boxes with great views over the area. I will be returning to play again this year a few more times.

They must of found a stash of cash buried in the deep rough because this year it looks and plays like a championship course

Tougher course than most. Lots of elevation changes and trees. Pace of play was horrible the last round played there.

My biggest knock was there grass was to long. Now that it is shorter it is a fun , with a nice view.

This course has a great layout. It can be challenging and staff was nice. There are a couple of canal type par three, very pretty. I played in June, this course might dry out in summer. The greens were slow and big. You can three putt. There are lots of trees, which I like. Looks like a great fall course. My feedback to the owners is put a little money into manicuring the traps and greens. This course could carry a better green fee with a little tlc. It is a great course, just a bit rough in spots.
