Marengo Ridge Golf & Country Club

About
Marengo Ridge Golf Club opened as a nine-hole course in 1963. Spread across rolling, wooded hills, the course was crafted by re-purposing an old farm. The working cattle barn was even renovated to become the clubhouse. As the golf course garnered a local following, a new nine was added in 1990. The more than 25-year difference between when the two nines were constructed give the course a unique character. The layout seamlessly blends modern techniques and classic design. The distinct topographies of each nine add even more variety. Marengo Ridge Golf Club's original nine holes weave through mature trees while the newer holes are more open and links-style. There are several tricky doglegs throughout but it isn't overly punishing if you're errant. You'll also face several water hazards and strategically placed bunkers.

Good course
Really nice course. A bit crowded as not enough space between tee times and greens were inconsistent. That said a nice golf course playable for the everyday player and a decent test from the back tees.
Great Day
Perfect weather, great conditions, easy pace, couldn’t ask for more.

Conditions slipping
Pace of play terrible no marshals on course greens were in terrible condition not worth 55 dollars
Cart paths and Tee areas
The cart paths need extensive repairs. Most of the tee areas did not have ball washers. There were no hole maps with yardage at each hole's tee area.
Great track for the price
Challenging layout. Overall course was in good shape. Needs some TLC on their cart paths but did not affect our enjoyment of the round.
