Nice Day of Golf
Boone Creek is a flat course nestled into Mchenry county farmland. It does have some doglegs, which make the approach to the green rather blind, but its wide fairways forgive errant tee shots. The greens are very nice. Great value for the money.
Boone Creek
Good course and friendly staff. Course was in good condition even though it rained very hard before the round.
Walking Slows Play
I got off work early and was looking for new course close to my house, 30 miles or less, and I found this course. And seen it had 27 Holes, and got golf now price, and thought it looked like it was a wooded course from the satelight view on google directions. Staff men are great and nice and well educated on the course. The do have very nice putting practice greens and practice range. I played all 27 holes. And after about 11 holes I was VERY Bored of this course. It is extremely flat, and they allow walking here. I played on week day mid day, so I got around no problem, but on busy weekend, I would want no part of this course. It would take forever to get around, This is a very easy course from the back tees, I shot 37-38-35 Here . For a decent golfer, never played here. bring your Driver, 7 9, PW, and putter is all you will need here. Course still had leafs on it from last fall, and they were burning the brush the day I played and had to smell smoke all day here. Some water here but nothing a good player would ever worry about. It's a one and DONE course for me. I like change in a course not flat for 27 holes. And fairways are wide. Greens putted very well was the only thing I liked here. If you enjoy walking and slow play this place is for you. And if you like to ware tee shirts, this course is for you. No dress code here. This is a course whare if your learning the game ,this is for you. If you play a lot like me and like challenge, Avoid this place. In all It's a friendly staff, and nice club house, and I am sure locals in Bull Valley and elderly play this place a lot. And thank god for this. Overall this course was simply put BORING!!!!!!!!!!

Nicely Playable WHEN DRY
I was worried about golfing here because I had once prior and the conditions were quite wet. The course is built over a former sod farm and the grass can become very soggy. This time it was drier and the course acted as you'd expect a course to. They have 3 nines here which generally leads to little to no large backups. While this isn't a visually stunning course and has little elevation change, the holes are well shaped and the hazards are where you'd expect to find them. The course plays just fine.
This course was fun to play
If you can hit your drives straight, this course can be very rewarding, if not, you will be in trouble on your second shot more often than not.
a gem in the middle of mchenry County
This was my first time playing this course. Staff was very friendly and informative. Cost conditions were excellent, you can really tell that the staff here cares. Greens were extremely fast but the starter let us know about them before we started our round.
Greens very nice and quick
Although this course is for the most part flat and straightforward, the green speed made up for it. Nice course, but I question the facilities idea to create two pins (1 regulation and the other 15 inches) which detracts from experience. Not a fan and may ultimately hurt the facility more than help it
great coursefor everyone
Has 3 nines and they rotate them which gives you a chance to play them all. Great shape and great staff.
Boone Creek - Valley/Prairie
The Good: Low-priced, 27-hole west Chicago suburban course doesn't pretend to be an upscale track but has enough challenge and quirk to be a fun track. Decent course conditions and moderately shaped greens that putt pretty smooth. Nice clubhouse and bar complex that includes an outdoor area. Good practice facilities includes a driving range and a huge putting green. Nice mixture of Par 4's that include a few "go-for-broke" holes that are driveable. Good value at under $50 during weekend peak season.
The Bad: Not much variety in the Par 3's or Par 5's. Fairways tend to be very damp. While clubhouse is better than average, no GPS and too few yardage markers. Pace of play is often an issue and the staff is only moderately interested in ensuring your satisfaction.
The Verdict: The Valley and Prairie are the least interesting nines at Boone Creek. Overall, a good option in McHenry county if you want cheap, fun golf.
Best Hole(s): The opening hole on the Valley course is a challenging double dogleg Par 5. The closing hole on the Prairie nine is a tight Par 4 that doglegs left.
Beautiful course, friendly staff
Course was in excellent shape. Staff was polite and helpful. Great course to play at a good value. My only recommendation for the course would be to have more than just 1 water station per 9 holes. Bring plenty of water from home.
god price
The golf coarse was close to home. for the price it fit my need. good golf for the average player. pace was great.the special price from golf now pairs you up with other golfers
this course is very out in the country
lot of greenery trees grass bushes backgrounds. fairways are in great shape.greens are fast.
Great coarse
Really like this coarse it's fun coarse staff is nice and other holders weren't pushy when it comes to beginners
Course is really open, not alot of trees or water! Really easy and if your really good this course is a joke for you!
I had alot of fun since it's pretty easy. Short distance, fun, not many trees, barley water.
Good bang for your buck
This course is a lot of fun to play. It's wide open and has relatively large greens. The fairways are in great shape and the greens were in excellent condition. Aside from a small confusion at the beginning with the starter, the staff is very friendly and willing to help. We were paired with another twosome and still got through our round relatively quickly, approximately 4 hours.
Worth the drive
Fairway and greens very well maintained and wetland do come into play
Course rotation makes for a different round of golf.
This is the first time I have gotten to play the Valley section of the course. I really enjoyed the beauty and challenges of this section. One of the features I like about Boone Creek is that they rotate the three sections of play and you can come often and not play the same course twice. Well maintained course. Nice people.
slow pace
Friendly staff, very slow pace since there are walkers.
This course is a great value at a great cost
This course is a great value, course is a great place to play and score well. Course is in good shape and the staff is friendly and is a good place to practice your game or even hit a bucket of balls. Inexpensive course and normally pace is 3.5 to 4.0 hours. Nice course to get a quick eighteen in to stay in tune. Will play it again I am sure.
