12 Index Found Course Challenging
Course makes you think off the tee. Rough around the greens is thick and very challenging to hit a finesse shot. Greens are fast and undulating. Took advantage of a Senior Rate. Even the Cart was nice with GPS. Played the Blue Tees at a little over 6400 yards.
Great Course
Played a solo tee time in the morning and pace of play was great! Course conditions after a rainy day were still good, thankfully didn’t have to visit the sand traps but they looked well maintained. Pin layout and greens were in good shape. Will 100% rebook.
Don’t leave your put above the hole
Great track, greens were hard and fast, Hard to stick iron shots on green, and if you miss the hole putting downhill say bye bye to your ball.

One of my favorite courses to play. Greens were very fast. Stay below the hole when on the green lol
Top 5 public course in Chicagoland
In my opinion, This is a top 5 public course in a he chicago land area. Great layout, fairways in good shape, and lighting fast greens. My only complaint is that the bunkers are inconsistent. Some need more sand but it’s early in the season so they get the benefit of the doubt.
Happy to be golfing in March
For the time of year course was in really good condition. Cart path only makes for some long walks and fairways are a little soggy but it’s March in Illinois. Bunkers were still playable although wet and greens rolled slowly but fairly true. Will definitely be back a couple more times this summer. Great track for sure.
Great course...Will return for sure!
First time playing Steeple Chase and it lived up to all the great reviews. Great layout and the greens were in really good condition, speeds were consistent across the entire 18 holes. I highly recommend placing your approach shots below the hole because these greens are super slick when putting from above the hole. Most of the greens are undulated, and quite a few of the greens slope heavily from back to front. Overnight rain slowed the greens slightly, but they were still slick when I was above the hole. The course does not have a driving range, but it does have a hitting net with several mat stations. The practice putting green has plenty of hole locations to help familiarize yourself with all the different slope that you'll experience on course. I did not experience the clubhouse or dining so I can't comment on the food or adult beverage prices/selection.
Slow play
Pace of play needs to be reinforced and re-educated and social hour needs to take place in the clubhouse after the round or at a local restaurant with your mate instead of on each tee box and fairway and green.

Well kept, greens are very good.
Maybe have a course martial to keep pace of play appropriate..
Recent 4 some ahead of us enjoyed multiple ball playing per golfer and slowed us down ..
Over 5 hrs for 18 is too much..
But love playing here and will keep doing so!!
