Greens need work after winter they were just punched and filled so not so good but rest of course in nice shape.
Rough early season round
Surprised it wasn’t busier the first 70 degree day. I was happy with the pace today since I’ve had some brutal 2.5 hour nones there in the past. Some of the greens are pretty rough with replacement pieces that haven’t grown in yet, so be aware.
Good course overall
I played this course 3 times this year. It was better every time I came back
Staff is always great...accommodating and pleasant. Operation as a whole is far more efficient than the other local options run by the forest preserve. Can't beat the view from the restaurant patio afterwards either!
Parking problem
I got a flat tire somewhere in the rear parking lot that cost me $35.to have repaired.
I know its not their fault but it was on their property.

a great nine hole course that is always in good shape and a very accommodating staff!
Greens
Nice layout and price is decent but the greens were the worst Ive played on this year. We had automatic two putts only so we wouldn’t get frustrated.
Great course!
My friends and I play here every Monday May-Sep for league play, and we have always had a great experience. The pro shop, starters, greenskeepers, beverage cart drivers - everyone at the course is very professional and pleasant.
We look forward to coming back again next summer!
Parking problem
I got a flat tire parking in the back lot.
Cost$35 to repair and I feel I should be reimbursed with cash or golf.
Golf in Reverse
The ranger was hiding in his cart in the trees watching football all day. People were golfing backwards on holes. Total chaos. When my wife complained, the guy said that it was because women don't know how to golf- sexist and absurd as it was all men who were golfing backwards and hitting into us. Have been coming here for years and they seem to not care anymore. Worst experience we have ever had here.
Real Gem
Besides the course being in pristine condition all the time the staff is awesome. Peter always has a smile and is welcoming. After a great round we always stop for a beer and burger at the Howard Street Inn. Can’t go wrong with Tam.
