Real Gem
Besides the course being in pristine condition all the time the staff is awesome. Peter always has a smile and is welcoming. After a great round we always stop for a beer and burger at the Howard Street Inn. Can’t go wrong with Tam.
Best 9 Hole Golf Course
Tam is a great 9 hole golf course. The course is beautifully maintained. Fairways and greens are in great condition. Staff is friendly and courteous. Course is challenging enough that golfers at any handicap would enjoy the round. I would highly recommend this course as I play on a League yet still enjoy additional rounds with family and friends. I would give this course a 5-Star rating!!
Great course Greens are rough
Love this course. Tight links course where I tend to play a whole over most times. Have to say the condition is usually spot on but the last couple rounds the greens have been a mess. All chewed up making it tough to get a good roll. Pace of play is great and after you finish your round stop by the Howard Street inn. Beers are always nice and cold.

Really enjoyed Tam O’Shanter. Lovely layout, very good fairways, very well maintained. Had a great time!
Great Value
One of the few 9 hole courses with carts in the Chicago area. For beginners like myself the course is fun, speedy play without being rushed and very nice staff.
Great 9 hole track, Great food and fun
Tam is fun. Course is well kept and impressively so based on the amount of play it sees
Greens were a bit tatty Otherwise course was very nice.
Howard Street in is relaxing and the beer is cold and food is good pub fare.
Overall a fast round and good time with a great watering hole.
Great Chicagoland Course
I love this course- don’t be fooled by some seemingly straightforward holes- there are some challenges a well - it’s a great little course with all the amenities and perfect for all ability levels!
Tam is the best
We drove almost 1 hour from the far western suburbs to come to this course. We come out at least once a year it is by far one of the best courses in the state of Illinois. Always maintain well beautiful gorgeous can’t wait till next time.
