Rough course
$48.00 to play this course! No way way! You should be giving discounts especially with the greens in the poor conditions they were in! Should have just played plinko
Centennial
Tee Boxes are absolutely trashed. Fairways are in decent shape. Greens are in below average shape. Layout is good. 3/5
Don’t waste your money
Tee boxes with no grass. No drainage and retains water if it has rained. Very tight and even good shots get punished by the grade. Only positive was the condition of the greens.
Pin placement crucial
This course can be extremely challenging depending on pin placement. If you put approach in wrong position, a 3 putt can often occur.
Played in tournament. Had a good time.
I like the layout of this course. It offers varying challenges. The most interesting thing I can comment on is that depending on pin placement it makes a huge difference. So, make sure you aim to put the approach shot in the best position even if it is a longer putt. You will 3 putt if you get in the wrong places.
Patchy tee boxes and scuffed greens
Centennial used to be a local favorite. It is late fall/winter conditions, but it's a shame that 15/18 tee boxes are complete mud or patchy, makes it difficult to find a good spot to tee up. Also, the width of the tee boxes is extremely small, maybe 10ft wide, it looks funny and more importantly doesn't give much option to tee up left for a draw or right side for a cut if the hole calls for it. Greens have scuff (shoe?) marks but are rolling true.
That being said, the course layout is great and the food is amazing. Perhaps it's just a transitional period of the season, but would like to see the track up to par as the other Knoxville public courses are right now.
Could be better
Its fall and the course is wet and not in good condition, the tee boxes desperately need attention! And people are not repairing their pitch marks!!
Nice course
Nice course, pretty well maintained. A little pricey for a municipal/city course. Overall good course and layout with some challenging narrow holes.
Somewhat of a Mysterious/Magical Layout
!!! WARNING THERE ARE LOTS OF BLIND SHOTS !!!
With that disclaimer this course is truly a blast and can be fairly friendly to a higher handicapper (except on 1&18 which go over a moderately deep overgrown brush valley) this courses greens were rolling very pure while I was playing and the trees were gorgeous. If you get a chance to play centennial go! But bring some extra balls
Challenging course
Narrow fairways on the front 9. Opens up a bit on the back 9. Beautiful course overall and fun to play.
Course nice staff unfriendly
Walked into golf shop and the two behind the counter didn't say a word. Gave them my name and the guy asked like I was bothering him. Starter was supper friendly. At turn went in to restaurant and they acted like I was bothering them. Overall Starter was nice. Inside help sucked. I wouldn't even buy lunch there when I was done the staff.was so ruse
Moon craters
Greens felt like I was putting on the side of the moon
