Slow play
Had a 4:30 tee time, got stuck behind a league, one of the members even went out of their way to tell me how slow they would be playing… meh. Was accosted by another player who accused me of hitting into them when they were behind trees. Always some sort of shenanigans happening at this course from drunk middle age white dudes.
Played this course with a full four on Sunday morning. Honestly we had a great time. The greens were fairly quick for our liking but overall the course was well maintained. Wasn’t overly busy so we were able to play at our own pace. The course layout was interesting as some holes shared tee boxes. 9th hole club house was very nice. Definitely a decent spot and would come back.
Great but…
Scheduled to play the North Course however at check in the pro shop stated there was an outing on the north course so I was told I had to play the 9-Hole Par 3 Rolling Meadow course and then continue on the back 9 of the North course.
Not too happy about it. If there aren’t tee times available then don’t allow someone to book.

Pace of play
Incredibly slow pace of play. It took 2 hours to get through 7 holes and the last two were still really backed up.

Like this course but
(South course) I like this course but the turn at hole 12 which is little weird and half the time it’s not even open. Every time I go only got hot dogs but advertise pizza at hole 8. Very weird management in my opinion but this is my most played course!
5 group Back up
This course had a back up of 5 groups on the 8th hole and did not move at all. 1 hour to play 7-9 on the south course for a twighlight round. The ranger was notified and never showed to keep things on pace. The staff in the club house took care of the rain check for the back and we’re friendly.

Priced high..golf carts are ancient
No gps and half the usb don’t work

Overbooked
Silver lake has nice courses, but they consistently overbook and can only offer 5-6 hour rounds.
They jam up the course by setting tee times 8 minutes apart, but their website has tips on how patrons can play faster. Seems like gaslighting to me, and I will just go to any other course in the area from now on.

Fun greens but slow pace
2nd time playing here. Not sure if it’s worth $60 in the end but there are always time slots available to play. Pace was very slow, got very backed up at hole 6th; about 5 groups waiting at south 6 hole.
