Avoid
First 3 holes finished in 30 mins. The next 15 took 5hrs and 15 mins. Waited almost 15 mins a hole to tee off. Never again. The staff is also rude- especially towards women. Actually glad this place is closing.
Decent
Decent course but got stuck behind so many slow players. The group in front of mine caused 3 other groups to end up waiting in them at the same hole. Besides that, the course was in OK shape not the best. Course seemed VERY busy but I guess thats just the weekend. Overall, it was a decent course but slow players made it hard to enjoy.
rangers need to do there job .
i understand that covid has everyone trying to catch up but to allow certin groups to play 25 minutes a hole is just silly .there is no reason to play a round of golf for five and a half hours. if you don;t want to do the job let someone who will keep the game moving
Terrible Pace of Play on a Very Nice Course.
Very nice course that is in excellent condition. The pace of play that we experienced was ridiculously slow and surprising to encounter considering the diligent way that the starter timed us and held us back when teeing off behind the group in front of us. There were rangers on both nines but nothing was done to speed up play.
Unfortunately it took away from a very nice course.
New Booking Policy
So I've played Silver Lake probably 2-3 times a month for the last year or two at least. So I go to schedule for this Sunday (it's Thursday am) and there are no tee times listed. I called the pro shop and I'm told they're focusing on booking 4 somes.
I've been booking as a single just fine since March this season and now they are getting restrictive to anyone but a 4 some? What kind of service is this?

Always enjoy playing these well maintained courses at Silver Lakes CC!
Covid was a blessing to this course as unfortunate as that is to say! I almost always golf as a single and end pairing up with a group. The folks I pair up with are virtually always pleasant and even fun to pair with. Staff is always friendly. I just wish there was more food and beverages available when in play. I have not spent any time in the rest/bar, but plan to this season. I will also be purchasing a "range key" next year. I enjoy being able to chip and put on the practice greens for free when not golfing a round. and of course nice to warm up on when playing that day. I live near this course and it is the only course I golf right now. It's that good where I really don't need to venture out anywhere else. All of my experiences here have been pleasant in the least. You really can't ever go wrong with Silver Lakes Country Club for a enjoyable round of golf. Some courses, not so much and I've golfed enough of them to have good enough comparisons. That said, I might also end with the fact that I think their greens fees are reasonable for what you get out on the course, range and practice/chipping green. Check out their range key. If you can hit the range enough, the math with regard to cost vs use is really amazing. You just have to commit to take advantage of your daily access to the range. I live no more than 5 minutes away from the CC, so I could take full advantage so long as this aging body can take it. Hope this review helps and hit 'em straight, unless you need to fade or draw, in which case shape 'em well!

Great shape
Course was in great shape. Rangers did a good job of keeping slow pokes in front of us on pace but were friendly about it. Greens were in awesome shape as were fairways. I heard they sold this place and I pray they keep atleast one of the 18 holes. They are keeping it in good shape regardless and I was impressed

nice course well kept
i liked the openess of the course with no interference form adjacent fairways due to the layout Very well kept and challenging for advanced players yet not so difficult for beginners who may not be so accurate and straight hitters
