Good layout, poor condition
The course layout is good. Unfortunately it needs better course mgmt. The fairways were closer to a second cut or light rough, but also a lot of burned out spots. Greens were pretty good. Nice pace of play given lack of groups in front.
SLOWWWWWW GREENS
nice course horrible bunkers impossible to call it sand in the bunkers more like dirt. Greens very slow and beat up.
Nice couple of courses, south a little more challenging than north. The 9 hole Rolling Hills is very nice.
Pace can be slow, but a very nice place to spend an afternoon
Dependable
Silver Lake is a popular location, probably because it's in the middle of the pack in terms of cost and course conditions. It's not spectacular in any regard, but certainly isn't a goat farm either. Course difficulty is not brutal, but not a pushover either. Same with amenities & everything else that might influence your decision to play here.
Diamond in the Rough
Great course! First time out, was very impressed with tee boxes, fairways , and greens were kept nice. A few bunkers could use some raking but besides that I was very impressed. Took my friends out that don’t play too much and it was perfect because it was not very crowded either.

Pace of Play
Course was way over booked. By the third hole we were waiting on two groups in front of us and three by the back nine. Rangers did nothing.

Greens poor condition
North course is in good shape except for the greens very slow and beat up they need some TLC and to be rolled noone likes to play on very slow beat up greens. Also had to wait 10 passed our tee time for a cart that shouldn't ever happen rent some more carts to have available especially on very busy weekends.

Very slow - course itself is nice
Course does not space tee times appropriately to allow for correct pace of play, especially considering the 6 par 3s on the course that jam up. Course has a few interesting holes, but overall pretty standard.
