South at Silver Lake Country Club

They really stack the tee times here which is surprising given there are two courses. Could make a better experience by going every 10-12 minutes instead of 7 minutes. Course was in good shape. Staff was friendly. Just too hectic with the amount of golfers- 4.5 hour round when you tee off at 7 seems like a lot.

Well maintained tee boxes, fairways, traps and greens. Nice layout with a good number of doglegs (south course).

Tee off at 2:45pm, didn't finish till 8:40pm. Probably the slowest round of golf in my life, wouldn't recommend playing here past noon since it plays horribly slow. Starter was trying to push people on but overall they booked way to many people.

They sent us off at 2:12 and we didn’t finish until 8 PM. They held an outing on a Saturday in the middle of the day and allowed us to tee off after them.

Course was in great condition (albeit a little wet from rain earlier in the week).

Only gripe was pace of play was tough on the front 9. This cleared up on the back 9.

Went here for the first time on Sunday, May 6, played the north course, and I will DEFINITELY be back. Greens were in amazing condition, starter was great, had a cart girl drive past 4 times throughout 18... great course, and for $65? Cannot beat it. Only gripe would be the pace of play was brutal. We were on track for a 5.5 to 6-hour round through 9, luckily some people in front of us only played 9 so it ended up being a 5-hour round. 100% would recommend

Course conditions were good - fairways in good shape, the greens were a bit slow. The course is pretty flat and there is not much to the course. The holes are pretty much side by side. Lot of people hitting into our fairway and ball confusion. There are some mature trees which help with the views. Overall, it's an okay course. I wanted to try it since I've never played it before. None of the holes are that memorable. It was a good day to golf though, so I can't complain too much.

I’ve been going to Silver Lake Country Club for years. I had my wedding reception here over 8 years ago. However, this most recent round I played was nothing short of upsetting.

First, there was a frost delay which had us teeing off almost an hour and a half after the scheduled tee time. I wished the club house would have notified me when I checked in and offered me the option to reschedule or cancel my tee time.

Second, the greens need work. There are some very noticeable dead spots starting to show on the majority of the greens. I recognize that it is early in the season, but you could see where the last 20 holes were punched as well, and it left me sour when I had no choice but to roll my putt over a former hole only to watch it bounce up and away.

Third, I would love to see disposal boxes for used tees on every tee box. The amount of broken and used tees is obnoxious and having no place to put them leaves the players with no choice but to perpetuate the cycle.

Finally, it was a Sunday. The men’s club was out. Everyone was delayed, and the South Course concession stand was closed.

Ultimately an upsetting round, but hopefully things improve for the remainder of the season and beyond.

The course has a great layout, is super fun to play, and is well maintained for the most part.

However, the pace of play is awful. There was a four group pile up on the first par 3 and the round took us nearly 6 hours to complete. We waited for 5-10 minutes on every hole. Tee times are too close together.

Do not go to this course if you want to play a round in under 6 and a half hours. Took us 3 and a half hours to play 9 holes. Of course no rain check because booked on golf now. Asked to talk to a manager and told none around. Half way house for south course not open. No ranger out on course. Need to not book tee times so close together if you cannot handle it. Thanks for wasting my day.

The course was over booked, extremely slow paced, never see 4 groups ahead of us walking. We left at hole 12, It had been 31/2 hours we had only finished 11holes. No starter, no rangers control the paces. Very bad experience that day.

Played the south course, and it was awesome. The last layout of the course and the views were great. Conditions were quite good after raining quite a bit the night before. Pace of play was a bit slow but there were lots of people, got done with 18 holes in about 4 1/2 hours.
