About
University Park Golf Club (formerly known as University Golf Club & Conference Center) boasts one of the most popular championship courses in the Chicagoland area. The golf course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1962. The original design by Lawrence Packard received an update in 2004 by Greg Martin, but the classic character of the layout still remains. The course wanders across gentle rolling terrain, providing elevated tees and undulating fairways. Water hazards come into play on half the holes, including on the 17th, University Park Golf Club's signature hole. This intimidating par 3 requires a tough carry over water to an elevated green. Miss it and you'll be faced with the nearly impossible task of getting up and down. The difficulty doesn't let up with the final hole, an uphill dogleg par 4 with a sloped, elevated green and water on the right.

Course wasn’t even open. Had hot deal listed for the day got there and doors were locked at the clubhouse.
Course Was Closed
Me and my buddies showed up 30 minutes before our Tee time and were standing outside with roughly 12 other golfers. Please let me know if I will receive a refund or do I need to dispute the charge.
Mismanagement
I had a 9:15 teeoff. When I arrived, the course was closed. I was extremely disappointed ☹️
They did not leave a sign or any information on there voicemail to let customers know they were opening late. Very unprofessional.

Great course for the money
2 some played 18 in just over 3 hours. Had to wait on maybe one or two tee boxes for less than 5 mins. Great course conditions, and layout. Would definitely return for another round.

Worth the drive!
Course was very well maintained and, for the price, definitely worth it! The staff at the bar was a bit confused when I asked if they were serving drinks or if a beverage cart would be around, Their response was no for both, which was surprising since people were tailgating in the parking lot! Will definitely play again next time I am in the area.

Pace of play: can be/has been an issue, but today it wasn't.
Conditions: green are in good shape; tees and fairways are ok; bunkers could use some attention.
Staff: very friendly and helpful.
Value: moderately overpriced given bunker conditions.
Layout: good variety of short and long holes; flat and easy to walk; 5-6 forced carries.
Good course, give it a try.

Solid Course
Staff is super friendly, course is well kept. It rained cats and dogs the day before and you would never know. Will be back eventually

Course was pretty wet, but playable. Greens were rolling good. Pace of play was ok.

Well taken care of, OK not a PGA course but very challenging from the gold tees (I am 64) already played twice and will play 3 to 6 times this year and will tell others about it

Great Value Course!
This course is challenging, but for the price you can’t beat it. This course will challenge all levels of golfers. The only ding is that the bar and clubhouse remain close. You can’t even order a hot dog or a beer. Overall I would always recommend this course for a fun outing or just an weekly foursome.
