About
University Park Golf Club (formerly known as University Golf Club & Conference Center) boasts one of the most popular championship courses in the Chicagoland area. The golf course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1962. The original design by Lawrence Packard received an update in 2004 by Greg Martin, but the classic character of the layout still remains. The course wanders across gentle rolling terrain, providing elevated tees and undulating fairways. Water hazards come into play on half the holes, including on the 17th, University Park Golf Club's signature hole. This intimidating par 3 requires a tough carry over water to an elevated green. Miss it and you'll be faced with the nearly impossible task of getting up and down. The difficulty doesn't let up with the final hole, an uphill dogleg par 4 with a sloped, elevated green and water on the right.

Well taken care of, OK not a PGA course but very challenging from the gold tees (I am 64) already played twice and will play 3 to 6 times this year and will tell others about it
Great Value Course!
This course is challenging, but for the price you can’t beat it. This course will challenge all levels of golfers. The only ding is that the bar and clubhouse remain close. You can’t even order a hot dog or a beer. Overall I would always recommend this course for a fun outing or just an weekly foursome.

Too slow
We started with 2 players and the 3 in front of us wouldn’t let us play through. Then 2 more players caught up to us and joined us to make a 4 some and we were still waiting on them. I understand if you can’t move fast but let’s not stand on the green and talk a couple minutes. We made it through the front nine but when it took 45 minutes to play 10&11 we decided to leave.

Perfect course to get all your clubs involved
First time playing University Park, won’t be my last! The course was in pretty good shape considering the rain over night. Fairways were well kept, greens were soft but firmed up as round went on. I would suggest keeping the greens drier if people are not going to repair their ball marks but that’s more etiquette then on the course itself. #16 is a monster hole that needs 2 transfers and a passport to get through but what a fun one! Given the current situation and restrictions I feel like the people at the course are doing a great job!!

Enjoyable outing
Enjoyed this course. Teeboxes, fairways and greens in good shape. A couple challenging holes. Long par 5s. Friendly staff. Pace of play 4hrs.

Immaculate Greens
University park is a hidden gem. The greens on this course are in terrific shape and fairways are above average as well. This course has a nice mixture of shorter par fours to longer par fours, shorter par fives and longer par fives. You cannot beat this course for for $35. If you live within 40 min. It’s a must play.

Very enjoyable
I hadn't played this course in 3 or 4 years. It was nice returning here. The staff is very pleasant. The course was in good condition even tough a bit wet from heavy rains, it was still easily playable. The pace was very good as it was a light day traffic wise. I am sure you will like the course.

Terrible staff and cash gouging
I purchased two Separate t-time rounds with carts. I was forced to pay extra fees for using Separate carts as purchased. The course layout is awesome but I won't go back because of the staff.
