About
University Park Golf Club (formerly known as University Golf Club & Conference Center) boasts one of the most popular championship courses in the Chicagoland area. The golf course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1962. The original design by Lawrence Packard received an update in 2004 by Greg Martin, but the classic character of the layout still remains. The course wanders across gentle rolling terrain, providing elevated tees and undulating fairways. Water hazards come into play on half the holes, including on the 17th, University Park Golf Club's signature hole. This intimidating par 3 requires a tough carry over water to an elevated green. Miss it and you'll be faced with the nearly impossible task of getting up and down. The difficulty doesn't let up with the final hole, an uphill dogleg par 4 with a sloped, elevated green and water on the right.

grate cource
to many single plagers in golf cource , so it takes an extra hour to play the round
Long But Forgiving
This is a nice course. It's a long one for the south suburbs, but the layout is pretty open so you won't be in much trouble if you hook or slice. The pace of play can be a little slow on the weekends, but nothing worse than 5 hours. Bar area is nice and the food is good.

Great Value
if you are looking for a place to work on your game and not expecting to play at a course like you would see on the pga tour, this place is great. Staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Course is nothing too special but it's nice to be outside and get a good deal to play. Would definitely come back if a good deal were to come along!
Great value and very friendly staff
This course was in good condition and the staff were very outgoing and pleasant. Additionally, the value was well worth the cost paid.

the course was nice sand traps need to be resanded it but besides that everything most enjoyable.
Decent Course
Greens were in good shape and rolled true, but were a little slow. The only down fall to the course was the fairways. On many holes, you could not tell the difference between the fairway and the rough. With the fairways cut this course could be really good.
Budget friendly. Bang for buck
Very professional and courteous. They try to keep pace of play starting with tee box. Beverage cart was not seen
Nice Greens
Enjoyed the view as I took on the course. It had it's moments where it was challenging but overall a n excellent place to golf. Staf was very helpful and courteous.
like playing in a swamp
Had played in league for 6 years at this course however yesterday when we played this course,it was very sloppy and around greens it appeared that some carts were being driven right up to the fringe resulting in very sloppy conditions..pace of play was good but very puzzling redesign in spots,for example on the 13rd hole between the 150 and 200 yd marker in the middle you have about 50 yds of rough which takes away from flow of hole. Also about 200 yds out from tee on 16th you have rocks in middle of fairway going in 3 different directions which again makes no sense.
Slow and not very busy
Course was not crowded but still took 6hrs to play 18. Cart path only you can expect a slower round but it was way to slow. Ranger claimed we were disrespecting the course by being in the rough with cart on a hole there was no cart path. When we asked him if he could talk to group in front about picking up the pace he said they are playing the way the game is suppose to be played. I didn't know once everyone is on the green it became you putt til you hole out and then the next person goes and so on.
Very slow play
Rangers all over but didn't say or do anything. Five hours to play eighteen holes.Very Unexceptable. Waited on most every tee box and most every shot. Longest round of the year. Play atleast 1-2 a week.
wet n slow
Extremelyslow play.very wet and sloppy ccondition. Poor starting and rangering.

Located in a semi rural peaceful location.
Wanted to play the course because it was near where I grew up. Nice course.
Best Green's on the southside
course was in great shape fairways excellent rough not to high and the green's were perfect
Also we had the Brunch what a great meal food was excellent and a great price would recommend to anyone

Great golf course and close to my home
The PGA pro is really great. His staff is professional and friendly. The course is in really good condition considering all of the rain we've had these past few months.

Had a great time with my son and workers were helpful. Greens in Great shape but tee needed a little work.
Great deal
Nice course and couldn't beat the price. It started slow then the pace picked up after 4 holes.Food was hot off the grill a plus. Everybody was nice here also from starter to bartender. They made you feel welcome from the minute I got there will be back.
