University Park Golf Club
About
University Park Golf Club (formerly known as University Golf Club & Conference Center) boasts one of the most popular championship courses in the Chicagoland area. The golf course has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1962. The original design by Lawrence Packard received an update in 2004 by Greg Martin, but the classic character of the layout still remains. The course wanders across gentle rolling terrain, providing elevated tees and undulating fairways. Water hazards come into play on half the holes, including on the 17th, University Park Golf Club's signature hole. This intimidating par 3 requires a tough carry over water to an elevated green. Miss it and you'll be faced with the nearly impossible task of getting up and down. The difficulty doesn't let up with the final hole, an uphill dogleg par 4 with a sloped, elevated green and water on the right.

the greens could be rolled, but other than that is was nice
this is a great value for the money we paid 15 $ ,I would be happy paying double. The course for the most part was in good shape, there were a few spots where new drainage was being installed, but wasn't in play. The greens could be rolled, but played nice. New sand in the bunkers is a must, the past heavy rains could have wash alot of it away.
UP is a nice course. Not too difficult but not boring. Good layout
For the price that I got, it was like playing a top tier golf course. I have no complaints the course played well, I just didn't. $11 for 18 holes was a bargain and a 1/2. Thanks Golfnow.

Beautiful fairways & greens. Friendly staff. Great bargain on Golfnow.
Gorgeous day when we Played Here. Beautiful Conditions And Friendly Staff. Great Deal On Golfnow.
Best Value in the South Suburbs
Our foursome played at University Golf Club on Monday April 29th. It was 72 degrees with a little wind and couldn't have been nicer outside. From the moment we got there the course looked very green and WELL taken care of. As we got up to the tee box it was confirmed that the course looked great and we were pumped. The course itself is challenging but not too difficult to be fun to play but certainly a "Real" par 72 course. Also, I can't say enough about the staff- very courteous guys and women make you feel welcomed. We would also like to thank the starter who took a picture for us of our foursome on the 1st tee box who took a couple and made sure we liked one rather than acting like we were bothering him (which has happened elsewhere). Also there hot dogs with all the relishes are top notch. Overall University Golf Club is a great place to escape for an afternoon and no doubt we'll be back often.

At under $20, a great deal
Played the course for the first time. Course is a great buy under $20 but I would hesitate at their non Golfnow rate at $23.
If you keep the ball in the fairway like your supposed to the course is in good condition. However, there seems to be a lack of maintenance on the tee's and in some rough areas where they have done some reconstruction. Didn't seem like they overseeded the tees in the fall as some of them are in bad shape. Can't figure out if the greens are sand based or not.
As they played very slow and have a "soft" feel to them when you walking on them.
I am anxious to play this course again in June to see how they irrigate the course. Overall, a pretty good value if you can get under $20. Not as good of a value as or in the condition as Deeer Creek just south of them, though if you can score a $12/$15 rate, go for it. You will have some enjoyment.
This course has been upgraded, made it more challenging!
Needs a little more attention but overall a real good place to play for the price.
Nice course and the price is right.
Nice course. Lots of dog leg left holes which suits my game. Holes are challenging with a good mix of long and shorter par fours.
Very promising when renovations are complete!
This course was recently completely redone, and was just recently reopened to the public. It has had a great deal of work put into it, and will be very nice when they are finished. It boasts two of the longest holes in the state of Illinois on public courses as well as some short but intricate holes. I really enjoyed the course, and will definitely go back when the course has a chance to fill in.
this course has everything
this course will make you use every club in your bag. very challenging.
Very nice layout with many hazard surprises.
Played early Spring and conditions still very rough, but playable. Come better weather this will be one of the finer public courses in the area. Booked a 2nd play after playing 18.
Good Value
University is a fairly challenging course. Recently added hazards have given this well maintained course some bite. This course suited for seasoned players as well as beginners.
This course has a friendly atmosphere
Course was well maintained, club features very good and equipment clean in good order. Staff quit friendly and helpful. Will play again and recommend to others.
