Deerfield Golf Club

We had a foursome yesterday. We were behind 2 groups of women playing 9 holes - pace was awful.

After the women played 9 We were on 11 and the ranger said WE were slow!!!! We told of the 2groups that played 9 as bring very slow. He was adamant We were slow. We finished in 4 hrs 15 min despite the front 9 problems. Don't think we'll be back....saw ranger after and he never apologized.....says much

Great condition and pace was great. 4 hour round. Never waited. Played back tees and they were good distance.

The course is nice but was quite frustrating to learn that all players must be at least 12 years old. Even with an adult. Why would you have such a great training facility and kids programs but not allow them to play? I could see if it’s a bunch of little kids with no adults but if the kids can keep up with pace if play and are with an adult let the kids play.

I have played Deerfield twice in the last two years and have been treated very well by the staff. The lady in the pro shop and the starter were both very friendly and welcoming. The golf course is challenging, the front nine is significantly tighter than the back . The greens rolled nicely, the par threes have a nice variety, you hit different clubs into the greens.

18! Holes takes 6 hours when half the field is empty and you have 4-6 groups all bunched up together with no ranger to tell the old american peasants in front to play faster. Terrible also greens are almost as slow as old orchard

I’ve played here many times, and it was in by far the best condition I’ve ever seen it. The greens were beautiful. The biggest drawback to this course is the noise and the wall along 294, or else it might be one of my favorites in the area. The practice facility is first rate, and the head teaching pro, Derek, has really helped my game. The clubhouse is small and not worth hanging around.

Course is beautiful condition, great layout, staff very nice. Only issue ordered a turkey club at halfway house. Got 3 pieces of turkey on wheat bread. Nothing else on it.

Definitely give this course a try.

Starter was unbelievably rude and most likely racist due to only picking on a specific ethnic group playing. Starter was yelling and cussing that the one group was holding up the entire course when they were waiting for two different groups to tee off of every teebox. It was also evident that the group behind them was playing at a slower pace and rarely had to wait on the teebox. Staff seemed to be highly unprofessional as well as they were lazy and slow with service. In all my years of playing at hundreds of courses, I have never ever experienced something like this. Without a doubt the worst interactions I've had in golf and definitely not worth anyone's time!!!!

Pace of play was awful. Waited on every hole and no rangers in sight. We were stuck behind a foursome that just didn't move.

The course was in really good condition. Some of the cart paths still need to be replaced

I have played this course many times. It’s wide open through most of the course. There are some hard pack areas wheee the ball will hit and the ball will take of and vanish, but for the most part the course is beautiful and well kept.
