Deerfield
What can I say the course was one of the best I have play so far in the state of IL I had played Whistling Straits a few weeks back and Deerfield green and overall was in better shape n 75% less of the cost, but no knock off WS that a totally different experience shot 95 there, note I paid 26 for 9 holes but I like the course and hope to repeat it soon for the full 18. I shot 48 from the gold tees and the temp was 41 with wind it felt like the 30"s
Over charged
When I booked on line it was for 17 hole play for 2
The course said due to civic 19 we could only play 9
18 hole play was only on Saturday and Sunday
The fee for 9 was 29 per person
I was charge 89
I’m owed a refund
Good location
Close to work and right off the expressway. Good deals found online.
under construction
They were working on 2 of the holes, so we din't get to play those. Otherwise the course was fine.
NIce but ...
I like the course, however it was a kind of upsetting that two holes were under construction -- and as far as I know NO information on GOLFNOW and not even in the club house. Was very disappointing.
Don't get me wrong if the course need maintenance -- totally fine with me/us but give us a heads-up!
Great, Fun Course!
Really enjoyed Deerfield Golf Club. Nice layout with several tee options for different abilities and challenges. It’s a beautiful course with the only negative being a couple holes along the freeway but it’s blocked out by mature tees. The greens are quick and true. I’ll definitely be back.
Course resident
I live on the course. Meticulously maintained and can be challenging from the tips. Staff is always friendly and helpful. It’s pricey at full price but there are always deals to be had :). Pace can be a little rough on weekends (as are most public courses) but I’ve gotten around pretty quick weekday afternoons and early morning weekends
Great fun but no beverages at all. No cart lady and that really put a huge damper on the day. I mean nothing!!!!
The fairways and greens were pretty good but from all the rain we had to deal with mud all over. I have always liked this course and even won a tournament in 2011 with the Golfweek amateur tour. It’s just a real nice quiet wooded course that has a fantastic layout but could not have been much better because of the 90’s then storms and more 90’s and more storms. I really take my hat off to the superintendent because he’s had his hands full this season. I’d go back again soon and have a blast.
Great management
We had a great ranger working the course hard. It could have been a disaster round; there was a group 1 hole behind after 3 holes, but he manged the situation and we played in 4 hours and 5 minutes.
Mature trees, well maintained and great staff - what's not to like.
Hard Course if you NOT hitting the ball In Fairway!!
Great, challenging course to play.. I love playing here but if you can’t hit the ball straight on this narrow course, you are going to be challenged! I was for the first 6 holes and then had a great game!!
They have just finished air raieding the greens
The greens would’ve been nice if it wasn’t for the air raieding
