Fall golf
One of the nicest 9 hole courses in the area. Always enjoy playing the Pot!
Can't do better for the price
Only in a town like St Charles would you find a muni 9h course draped over the shore of the fox river that was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. Just absurd.
The course is somewhat short and tight. Not many driver opportunities, especially in the first half. The layout is very well designed with clear risk/reward choices to manage on every hole. Save for one, I though every hole was brilliantly laid out.
Neither hard nor too easy, you have to plan your shots and make them or you can find trouble to blow up your card quickly. But play smart and hit your targets and it's lovely.
Conditions were immaculate before you factor in that it's a 20 dollar park district track. Insane value here.
Short Game
Great first experience playing this course! A friend and I played to improve our short game. It was just what we needed.
Beautiful setting along the Fox River. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The course layout gives a nice variety of holes. It is not a very long course although the mature trees made it longer for me.
Gem in St Charles
Great 9 hole public course. The greens are great. The layout is not the best. Course is very well maintained.
