Cute, challenging course
My wife and I enjoy playing this picturesque layout. Running alongside the Fox River provides some nice views as well as water hazards on 2 holes. While the length is not long, the course still demands some precise shot making. The grounds are in very nice shape although the greens could be cut a bit shorter and rolled to make them a bit faster. Overall, I recommend this course.
Outstanding layout; average course conditions
Great layout with nice undulations and curvature. Outstanding finishing hole. The fairways had quite a bit of standing water and there were a lot of dead spots. Greens were as slow as I've ever played. With a little TLC, this could be a gem of a course. Thanks for having us!
Why haven’t I played here sooner?
I’ve been living in the western suburbs my whole life and played Potawatomi for the 1st time today. I could feel the presence of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and imagine the old steam bulldozers working the land near the river! Pretty cool and no I wasn’t consuming eatables…..yet. The golf experience was perfect and walking the course made it even better as I generally ride. It’s definitely worth trying once and I’m willing to bet you’ll want to play it again like I do. Beautiful day and the course was in excellent condition. Maintenance staff did a very good job of clearing leaves from fairways.
Unfriendly Staff
Times the manager hasn’t been flexible: 3:40 tee time with my 7 year old. “Nope, no carts after 3:20”. I explained he won’t make the round walking that. “Nope won’t do it”. Try and book as a single player. “Nope we don’t do that”. Ok can you add me to the threesome teeing off? “Nope, go make friends”. This place is so frustrating to try and play.
Walking Gem !
Perfect 9 hole walk. Always a treat. Overrun by goose poop at times.
