Great layout
First time here. Beginner player here. Not too bad for beginners to play here. Has things you can work on and adjust yourself.
Majestic
The scenic nature of this course is over the top. Plays great, greens, tee boxes, fairways, even the rough are immaculate! Can’t wait to play again!!!
Another perfect day at Pottawatomi
I took my 13yr old son for a Sunday afternoon round and as always, the course was in great condition. The 3rd hole green was reopened after some renovation after the May flooding along the river, which was good to see. We did get stuck behind a 4-some of 20-somethings, out for the afternoon, but they let us play through. That did put us behind another 4-some with two moms and 2 pre-teens more intent on driving the carts then playing. My son and I weren't in a big hurry and the afternoon was BEAUTIFUL, so we just enjoyed the views and played when we could. We will certainly be playing the course again. Great layout, challenging holes, and scenic views. What else would you want for an afternoon with your son?!?
Fun and affordable
A great par 3 golf course with fantastic design for the price. Easy to walk and play, the course offers just enough challenge for experienced golfers and even a better experience for new golfers. Be aware that as it is a public park district course the pace of play is very inconsistent. It is common to get stuck behind slower groups but mostly it is a fair pace.
It’s design is gorgeous nestled on the Fox River with plenty of wildlife and gorgeous views. I play once a week and love it!
Great Course
This is a beautiful little course. Can’t believe I’ve never played here before. Definitely going to be in the normal rotation
Fun with Kids
Played first time with kids on course so wanted to start with 9 holes. Very friendly staff.
Play this course!
Barring a remodel on 3rd hole this course is truly top notch. For a 9 hole course you will use every club in your bag. Robert Trent Jones jewel.
Pottawatomie on June 17,2020
One of the disappointing things about my round was that work was going on with several of the holes. The signature Hole No. 3 with the island green was reduced to an uninteresting hole with a temporary green while the island green was not in play. There was no reduction in green fees even though the entire course was not in play.
