Awesome day for golf!
Course was in good condition. Greens were extremely fast. Weather was perfect. Sunny with a nice breeze. Great course for a beginner like me. Value is great.
a back to basics course
Fair, fun and enjoyable. No hassle lung rangers. Good pace of play. Old school golf.
Always in great shape
For the first week of November, the course was in excellent shape which doesn't surprise me because they do a great job here. I have played here since I was 15 years old which is a long time. I always enjoy this course.

Overall great experience, considering we arrived late to tee off. they very nicely put us out at 235 an hour late behind 2 foursomes and 2 twosomes yet we easily got our round in before curfew of 619 cart call. beautiful course , well groomed, and great greens. As a member of the CDGA, i recommend the scenic fall cruise out to beautiful Sycamore IL for great experience and great rates for weekend golf.

I Think I Can
I think I can really like this course with a few more rounds played and more recovery time for them.
Overall nice, They seem to have suffered some flooding and are just starting to recover from that.
Some of the holes are not well marked but we worked it out with some semi friendly pointing for other golfers.
They have some fun and interesting holes. Not a huge course but just enough room to enjoy.
Fellow golfers are friendly as well as staff .
will play again next year with the hope they have bounced back.

Saturday afternoon @ Sycamore
Enjoyed round, greens a little rough, players need to repair ball marks. played under 4hrs, some players thought pace was slow. Great value golf course

Dont pay full price

Good Course
Overall, we really enjoyed the course. The course only plays about 6000 yards, so it is a pretty short course. Mostly driver and then half a sand wedge all day. The course was in great condition besides it being somewhat wet from the huge storm we had a couple days prior. They always keep it in nice shape and do the little things that make a course nicer such as hole placement, sand maintenance. I would recommend this course to any golfer that just wants to go out and score well. Most of the holes are similar in design, but overall it is a good course to build your confidence on.
Hackers Delight...but always fun
Sycamore has an old school short, flat layout that is best suited for beginners or seniors. The first 5 holes are basically carbon copies of one another running east to west and back again nuanced slightly by minuscule changes in elevation. If you can drive the ball 250+ yards, basically every hole on the course (save for maybe hole 8) is a birdie hole. I am an average golfer (8 handicap) and shoot in the low to mid 70's every time I play Sycamore. That said, the course is kept in good shape, the staff is accommodating, other golfers are friendly (and in my experience have no problem letting you play through), and who doesn't like going super low (sure it's a layup course, but you're buddies don't need to know that). Great value if you can get it for under $20. I'd always rather be working on shots around the course, then hitting buckets at the range.

Excellent prices, course in great condition. Played 18w/cart for $16 on golfnow.com, can't beat that price.
Rainy weather put a damper on the round
Because of a recent string of rainy days, we couldn't take a riding cart out on the course. The manager offered a rain check but because my guest was from out of town, we decided to go ahead and walk with a push cart. Still a good value for the price.

course in very good condition super nice staff. shorter by defended by subtle breaks in small greens. no real long holes but some long par 4s for the average golfer
Fun and easy
Really easy course, but I would play again soon. Overall good conditions everywhere. Fast play. Also happy because I broke 80 for the first time.
