Odyssey Golf Course

I like the Odyssey. It has a good track layout with some decent but fair challenges. Course was in generally good shape but there was fair amount of rutting due to previous wet conditions and cart traffic Some washed out/burned out areas but nothing overly obnoxious. Greens were pretty good overall. Super deal at a last-minute HotDeal rate. I would play Odyssey any day of the week

Bad cut on grass it was terrible looking and thick all over.

This is a truly wonderful design of a golf course but is one of the most poorly maintained courses I've ever played. Fairways full of mud and tire tracks. Greens are hit or miss, the rough is full of weeds and not maintained, there is no sand in most of the bunkers and they play like concrete. I really like this course and it is sad watching deteriorate to the condition it's currently in. Properly managed, this could be one of the top courses in the area.

The course was nice . It has some spots in the fairway that need work. Also the carts need to be replaced they are really bad! It was hot and couldn't find water through out the golf course . Other than that nice challenging course

Managed to catch a 'Hot Deal' on this one. $10 to ride...unbelievable deal!

The course was in good shape. Greens were watered and played well. Rough was a bit long in spots, but nothing unmanageable.

Overall, I was VERY pleased. Will be back again!

We got a great price on Golf now. Fun course to play, nice layout, rough is very rough. Well worth the money

The Good: Former country club now turned charitable organization is a strong Harris Bowers design with consultant Curtis Strange. Flat track with water hazards on nearly every hole. Good variety in Par 4's and Par 5's. Smallish greens are in very good shape and hold well. Very nice off-course amenities includes upscale clubhouse, banquet area, and GPS on carts. Pace of play is above average for Chicago public suburbs.

The Bad: Fairways are very moist and many get severely damaged with rainfall. Par 3's are forgettable and very long on the back nine Practice facility is good and includes a bar, but is inconveniently not near the first tee. Staff is nice, but starter bullied into sending a single out on a weekend morning. Value is only fair given poor fairway conditions.

The Verdict: Overall a beautiful upscale public facility that is letdown by a sub-par conditioned course. Should be a near top-flight public course in south Chicago suburbs.

Best Hole: The closing 18th is a great Par 4 that requires a drive that avoids hazards both left/right and an approach to a thin green with water left.

Nice course , like to play again, Fairways & greens are well maintained

I enjoyed playing this course. Some areas on the course need some work by the groundskeeper.

I'm not a scorned player giving a bad review. The course conditions were less than acceptable. I have played on courses in Dubai, UAE, Punta Cana, DR, and even several park district or local courses. I belong to a local country club and I am aware of what a good course should look like. The price for this course is not worth cost. The course is poorly maintained, the fairways have bare spots the tee boxes are covered with divets, it was a sunny day and fairways were soaked with drainage run off on a 90 degree. Carts weren't working properly, I would not recommend this course at any dollar amount. I will not return again.

THE WEATHER WAS COLD BUT THE CHALLENGE THIS COURSE PROVIDED MADE IT WORTH THE COLD.

Odyssey was one of my favorite golf course in the south Chicago! It is always easy to get a last minute tee time without any issue. I play here at least twice each year.

My most recent round was just not the same, most fairways was torn and has large patches of dirt that do come into play if you hit your drive ~240 - 270 yrds. most greens has tire marks so if you happen to be on the other side of the green you will have to figure out how to putt through these tracks for your birdie putts.

It almost feels like i was playing a municipal course... in that case, I think George Dunn down the street might actually be in better shape and better overall value for your buck.

I played this course a few years ago and it was in immaculate shape, well manicured and very professional. It now looks like the exact opposite. The faraways were burned up and rock hard with several dried up dirt patches. The layout looks like it hasn't been manicured at all and there are dandelionse everywhere. They were out of golf carts with GPS and everything just seemed to be not taken care of at all since 3 years ago when I played. On top of it all the guy at the counter said it was in great shape, you've got to be kidding me. That's was the worst part. There's no way I would consider that great shape by any stretch of the word.

Had a 2:24 tee time and it took 3 hours to play nine holes. Quit after nine.

The Great course and good greens

Nice course overall. Very challenging with lots of water in play. Facilities are nice overall. The course conditioning was good but there were a few areas where turf was a little beat up. Greens were moderately fast.

Very nice course. Nice grounds nice staff. GPS carts a plus.

Great course to check your straight driving ability. Also scenery is photogenic.

Need to bring prices way down. No improvements in last 10 years same course and keep asking for a lot more money.need to fix old dirt ruts in some fairways and get some rocks out of bunkers.

Wonderful place to play highly recommend for any golfer course was in great shape less than 4 hours for 18 holes on a holiday couldn't ask for a better deal
