Hard Sand Traps - No notable sand
I always enjoy playing Deer Creek. Overal the course is well maintained. My lone complaint is no sand in the sand traps. They are barren, hard and cracked dried dirt.

never have a bad day at this course. I play here at once a week. usually finish in under 4 hours. The staff is really friendly.

Traps Need Work
Great course, nice fairways, greens and tee boxes. However, most of the traps were poor and need sand and attention. They have been poor for several years.

Deer Creek is a nice course
Greens are in excellent shape.
Fairways cut fair and fairly tight.
Tee boxes are in good not great shape.
The rough is decent length - not too bad. (Ball can get buried)
Pace of play was superb - finished 18 in less than 3 hours. (Saturday afternoon)
Staff always helpful.
Deer Creek is a really really good friendly place to play. Not many frills but a well-cared for course.

The course is in far better shape than I would expect for $15 on a weekday with a cart! Not many trees line the fairways, so it plays well for beginners or those that do fall off the fairways. Sand traps were 50/50 on either near concrete condition or fluffy sand. Definitely worth the drive past other courses!
