Under appreciated
I play this course once every so often, and always enjoy it. Plenty of sand and hazards to make it challenging but enough space around to make it fair. Played on a very wind day so that made the course a lot more difficult. Good group of par 3's. Last 4 holes are tough, no matter what the conditions are.
Changing Weather
It was 75 degrees when we started and 55 by the time we were on the 7th hole. Played 9 and had to stop because of my partner's COPD & Parkinsen's Disease. Asked club house for a raincheck for the second nine due to the drastic change in weather. Refund was not allowed because we were paid thro golf now. He said it wasn't his issue. Disappointed in response.
Always in good shape
Dollar for dollar this course is as good as any course out there. It's a nice very challenging layout and I always feel like I've gotten my moneys worth when I'm done playing this course. The greens are always in good shape.
The course will make you use different clubs for the wind when it picks up.
So far this year we have played 6 different courses this year and it has been in the best condition of the others. Will Be back again. Greens were in the best shape for this time of the year.
Deer Creek
Course was in decent shape for this time of the season.
The greens were somewhat challenging.
Good pace of play, healthy greens
Had a good time on a course that I hadn't played in several years. Course maintained well. Greens were very healthy and after 2 inches of rain the prior night they were rolling well. The fairways were saturated so carts were restricted to the cart paths but pace of play was really good. We were a twosome but when we encountered slower groups they politely invited us to play through.
Outings and tee times
Deer Creek is where I probably play more rounds then any other course during the year. Normally, I enjoy playing there. However, my buddy booked a tee time for 2pm on a Saturday. Deer creek had an outing starting at 1:30pm. We got paired up with two other singles and started off the first hole. However, the pace of play was the slowest I have ever had. My buddy stoped playing after 15 holes..it was 6:30pm! I continued on for the final 3 holes and we finished at 7:20pm.
Deer Creek should not have had any tee times available for this day. My buddy and I would have played elsewhere. Now, I will always be hesitant to book a tee time at Deer Creek because this experience was one of the worst I have ever had. Disappointed because Deer Creek was my "go to" course. I guess I need to find a new course.
This course is alway immaculate shape
Friendly service and a gorgeous golf course. The greens are always in great condition also the course is well manicured!
Golf Now Hot Deal was NO DEAL
I have played this course before and really like it. So when I saw a chance to grab a Golf Now Hot Deal, I jumped. The Hot Deal was the first tee time after a Four Man Scramble (and NOT shotgun). The round took 6 HOURS with backups at EVERY TEE and sometimes as many as 2 Foursome Backups. I really like the course BUT this was the WORST managed course that I seen in a long time. Not one ranger came out to speed things along.
Very upset that we scheduled a 12:15 PM tee time but did not tee off until 12:40 PM and then did not get off 18 until 6:25 PM. By the time we got into the clubhouse there was NO ONE to voice any objections to. Next I will call and check for any tournaments/scrambles before I book there again.
Great difficult course. Great Staff
Great place to play. From the pro shop to the bar everyone is very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend it to people that don't know about it.
Course is in great shape!
will continue to play there
Excellent little-known suburban course
Pace of play is great. Usually under 4hrs. They have some challenging holes. Now for me it is fortunate that they had to get rid of a few trees (ash borer). The course is laid out well. The 19th hole is reasonably priced. Always have a great time at this course.
Great place to golf.
Everyone was nice, the course was in great shape. The range has a short game area.
Nice track
The course was fantastic! I totally enjoyed myself
Great course for the money!
I played this course on a friday afternoon HOTDEAL for 12 bucks and it was worth the drive to university park. Pace of play was great, we finished in 3 1/2 hours. Greens were just watered before we tee'd off so most of them we really slow, but as we got to hole 12 the greens had dried out and were rolling quicker. Most of the greens have a lot of slope so be sure to keep the ball below the hole or you will 3 putt for sure. The Fairways were longer then most courses i have played.
Great Ciurse
Deer creek is in good shape and played really well. I played on a 90 degree day which kept most away.
nice course, terrible pace
I've only played this course on the weekend, but expect an over 5 hour round on the weekends. Course will allow golfers to go out in the middle of an outing. Ranger has no authority over golfers, was told that a two-some told a ranger they would not pair up with a single behind them. Course is in good condition, could use more trees to avoid feeling that fairways are over the top of each other.
Always a great time!
Always a great time! We play here often and really enjoy the course. Ken (the pro) is always great as well. Great value for the money. Thanks again!
Always been a staple in the area
Course is very fair for all types of handicappers.
Greens are always true to putt on.
Course is forgiving on many holes
Always play at least 5-10 times a year
Deer Creek
Good time on a good muni track
