Deer Creek - A Nicely maintained Course
It is always a pleasure to golf here. The course conditions are consistently in good shape. You have sand traps and a few water holes to keep you honest. The 18th hole is always one that gets me as you have a long pond in front and blind to the green. It is a strong poke to clear the water, but I haven't seen anyone successfully clear it. It is a 80 degree right turn to the green. If you try and go left of the water and hit the fairway there is a steep slant right that takes your ball into the water . . . so stay as far left as you can without hitting the sandtrap.
Deer creek
They took real good care of me and my friends, everything was great only complaint is the sand traps but if you don't go in them then there's nothing to complain about.
not a lot of trees
open so you dont loose to many balls if you shank a few shots... greens were fast and true
Good play
There are not a lot of holes that stand out as unique or super challenging, but everything was well maintained, pace of play was good until the back nine when we ran into 2 twosomes not pairing up for some reason. It was a perfect day and I enjoyed my day.
Good test for intermediate recreational golfer
Challenging but fair course layout. Course was in great condition. Enjoyed the improvements. Hope to get back soon.
Deer Creek - Always in good shape
I have golfed here a number of times and the course conditions are always good. No complaints anytime I have golfed here. I always go alone but have always been paired with other nice golfers like myself. The course is generally reasonably priced so it will not break the bank. I think you will come here regularly for good playing conditions at a reasonable price to boot.
Good greens
Greens are all ways nice
Course can hold to much water after storms
Traps get very crusty
Lost hundreds of trees the last few years
Fairways are very nice
You need you A game from the blues to break 80
You need your head examined from the tips
Even with the trees gone 6900 plus is still long
nice course
Everything was great, not delays, finished in less than 4 hours, conditions very good and great price!
best deal I've ever gotten
The hot deal made choosing Deer Creek a no brainer. I played from the back tees and it was plenty long, the greens were in great shape. The fairways were in great shape too. There was no one in front of us so we played in 3 hours. I did not remember the greens having severe slopes so some of the greens were surprisingly tricky. Had a great time. The last four holes are extremely challenging.
Under appreciated
I play this course once every so often, and always enjoy it. Plenty of sand and hazards to make it challenging but enough space around to make it fair. Played on a very wind day so that made the course a lot more difficult. Good group of par 3's. Last 4 holes are tough, no matter what the conditions are.
Changing Weather
It was 75 degrees when we started and 55 by the time we were on the 7th hole. Played 9 and had to stop because of my partner's COPD & Parkinsen's Disease. Asked club house for a raincheck for the second nine due to the drastic change in weather. Refund was not allowed because we were paid thro golf now. He said it wasn't his issue. Disappointed in response.
Always in good shape
Dollar for dollar this course is as good as any course out there. It's a nice very challenging layout and I always feel like I've gotten my moneys worth when I'm done playing this course. The greens are always in good shape.
The course will make you use different clubs for the wind when it picks up.
So far this year we have played 6 different courses this year and it has been in the best condition of the others. Will Be back again. Greens were in the best shape for this time of the year.
Deer Creek
Course was in decent shape for this time of the season.
The greens were somewhat challenging.
Good pace of play, healthy greens
Had a good time on a course that I hadn't played in several years. Course maintained well. Greens were very healthy and after 2 inches of rain the prior night they were rolling well. The fairways were saturated so carts were restricted to the cart paths but pace of play was really good. We were a twosome but when we encountered slower groups they politely invited us to play through.
