Mystic Oak Golf Course in Waterloo has a diverse layout that seems to play a little differently each time you're on it. The layout features long, winding fairways and gently sloping greens, which are framed by a slew of strategically placed bunkers. There are also many water hazards that come into play throughout the golf course. The gently rolling terrain has subtle ups and downs that provide tricky uneven lies. The back nine is uniquely divided into three par 3s, par 4s, and par 5s each. The golf course will test your short-game skills but the lengthy par 5s offer driving opportunities for long hitters as well. Mystic Oak Golf Course is player friendly enough for a wide range of skill levels but you may be surprised to find yourself using all the clubs in your bag.

Was greeted by a very nasty employee
Employee literally did finger waving and much sarcasm for being 5 minutes late. Course wasn’t busy.. No wait time on 1st tee but she was angry. Other customers commented on her poor people skills. Fair course but not worth being greeted by such nasty employee.
Great Course
Great course to play, friendly staff and great BBQ. Love to play here.
Pretty course - lots of water
Very pretty course but somewhat difficult if you have not played here before. Lots of water and doglegs so hard to know where and how far to hit it. If you played it a few times, could be quite fun.

Bang for your buck
I grew up around this course and used to play it daily back when it was "The Ridge" . I got out and played it for the first time in a couple years and I have to say I'm pleased with the course condition. The greens run a little slow, and I highly recommend you play a preferred lie of you're in the rough due to the grass being a little clumpy. For $12 to walk 9 holes I really don't have too much room to complain though! FYI the 3rd hole is the perfect practice hole if you have time to drop a couple extra balls to practice your short game. 3.5/5
Enjoyed the Round
I enjoy the layout and the course has some easy holes and some difficult holes that can challenge anyone. Greens were in great shape, but the fairways definitely need some work. Staff is very friendly and for $39 on a Saturday morning you can't complain too much. I'd come back again.
