Golfer Reviews
Great Round, Tough Layout
Loved layout of the course. Played the black tees and some of the drives are daunting. Greens rolled pure and I can tell a lot goes into keeping them that way. One of the better courses I’ve played in this area. Will most likely come back at some point.
Excellent as always!!!!
The Acorns is a hidden gem in the metro area. Make the drive & be rewarded. The Zoysia fairways are in perfect condition & the greens a fair & true. Late July in the midwest & not a burn mark to be found on a green. The course offers challenges, but nothing impossible. A great layout that can be played anywhere from 7600 yards to 4600 yards depending on your ability. The staff is always polite, positive, & friendly. Also, and this may not be important to some, but I love their golf carts. Nothing fancy, but the oversized dash with 4 cup holders, 2 narrow phone holders, a center storage bin which is great for a range finder, plus your normal large bins for extra storage. USB charger plugs, & club & ball washer on the cart. I know due to Covid these two particular items are not filled by the course due to regulation, but I dump a half bottle of water in to clean my club after shots. Finally, the price is outstanding!!!! $40 on a Saturday morning?!?!? Its a steal. Play after 1PM on a weekend & it's usually $34 & $26 after 3PM. During the week the deals get even better. Don't hesitate...book the round & enjoy the round. You won't regret it!
Great course
The course is very well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful, the course was challenging but fun. Will definitely play here again. For the value, I’d say the best course in the area.
Beautiful Course
The layout was simple but challenging when played from the blue or black tees. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape.
Fun and challenging
Acorns has an interesting layout. Short par fours can deceive if you are not cautious. We are seniors in our low sixties. From the white tees we had a good test of our game. The greens were in great shape, running medium fast. Number 18 hole is a challenge with water In front of the tee and then all down the right side. The hole plays as a dogleg right, so the approach to the green is then over the same lake. I always enjoy playing Acorns.
Love the place
Love this place, but like most Metro Least courses, sloooow play dominates with foursomes of bumpkins lollygagging, hitting multiple balls despite groups behind waiting, playing out of bunkers when we aren’t supposed to, playing loud music, and generally being loudmouths, keep that garbage across the river in the dump that is The STL! Great course tho, keep up the great work Acorns!!
Great Value
This course is in great shape and they are working on it all the time. Spongy Zoyzia fairways All greens and tee boxes in good condition. . It give Annbriar some big competition.
