About
Arrowhead Golf Club is home to a 27-hole course that is considered one of the best municipal plays in the Chicago area. The holes are divided into the South, East, and West nines, which can be played in three different 18-hole combinations. Water hazards appear on 17 of the 27 holes and there are 77 bunkers strategically placed throughout. Each golf course provides a challenging but different round. Although the club opened in 1927, the South/East Course was renovated in 2011. The course retained its challenging character but it was made more playable for a range of skill levels. In addition to the water and bunkers, there are mature trees throughout the course. Arrowhead G.C. also boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a lighted driving range, putting green, chipping green, and bunkers.

Don’t think I’ll be back
Overall not a good experience. The staff was very friendly and acknowledged it was playing slow but did nothing about it. For the price to play here the greens are horrible. First time playing this course and also my last. Too many better choices out there.
Lots of fun
Played the East 9 with my son on his graduation weekend. The course was very wet because of all the rain received recently, and the grass hasn’t really started to grow yet due to very cool temps, but otherwise the course was in really nice shape. It was a longish nine due to cart path only… 2 hrs 40 mins. But we didn’t seem to be waiting much at all. Last time I played Arrowhead was 20 yrs ago… it’s completely changed and a really nice public golf club now!
Solid course
Played the south 9. Love how the course is secluded from houses and roads. Great decently challenging layout. Greens need a little work but it’s been pretty cold so not a big deal. Course drained well as it rained the night before. Will definitely play again and shoot 18 this time.

Late fall golf.
Aeration was a few weeks ago so should have been ok. But heavy layer of sand topping on most greens killed putting. SHOULD HAVE BEEN A REDUCED RATE.
That said, this is a wonderful course to play. A lot of interesting slopes and uphill and downhill holes with some greens perched up on the hill. . Some dog-legs makes it interesting. greens are challenging but accessible.
Play this course and you will enjoy your time spent! I’ll be going back!
Staff always friendly. Other golfers have always seemed nice and courteous. Beautiful course .

Always Great
Arrowhead is always great. I’ve played all three 9 hole courses and they’re always in fantastic shape. Pace of play is never an issue. The staff is always friendly, Jim the starter is great! Would highly recommend to anyone!
