Chevy Chase Country Club

1. Course is in outstanding condition.

2. Course was flat. No hills. Every (almost every) hole appeared the same. The 15th hole (a par 5 with the approach shot over water) was the only memorable one of the eighteen.

3. The GPS system was less than I expected. The screen was small and hard to use.

4. There is not a practice range.

5. I think that the TeeOff price of $50 is $10 to $15 too high.

Pace of play was horrible no Ranger ever on the plus side my nephew through a club in the woods on the par-3 guys in front of us while the people were just leaving a part 3 they thought since they yelled fore they weren't wrong on the 18th we saw a group that put the cart inside the water very zlowl but at least it was entertaining

Not a bad course if you can get it for a cheaper price point or on a hot deal. Nice GPS carts. Course is very well maintained, although the sand is not very smooth. Course layout is a little boring, most holes being average length and straight. Every hole is next to one another as well, so depending on the day you might get rained on by balls coming from other holes.

The course is fine. The greens are pretty bumpy. The bunkers are rocky. I don’t foresee going back.

Carts were not where they usually are. So, I asked at the pro shop and got a vague wave of her hand. Then I go to where the carts were and the employee waved me off to another area in a rude manner .... as if I was to know the new place they were putting carts (not for an outing they were having that day). It was not a good way to start off the day and was completely unnecessary. The woman at the bar/restaurant was very nice though.

Teed off at 12:00 on a hot (low 90s) Monday afternoon and finished at 2:00! Course is in great shape. Both staff and other golfers, were extremely nice. Played through a twosome on the front and another single and four foursomes on the back. Pro shop staff said it’s a typical Monday. If that’s the case, I’ll be back next Monday. I dinged the amenities score a star because there is no driving range.

This greens here are excellent . Roll true….. nice and firm. Fairways are very well kept. Not the most difficult of courses as far as distance and layout , but fairways are narrow and some strategic water and traps make the round challenging , but more than rewarding for great shot placement. Most holes have an easy approach if you’re on target. The rough isn’t super crazy. Not a huge ball stealer being so tightly woven from Fairway to fairway , but conditions are always excellent, and you can play the course couple different ways to keep it entertaining.

My only complaint is I wish they had a more well rounded pro shot with gear and demos for players. With the immaculate conditions, popularity, and fact they host a lot of corporate events feel like a well stocked pro shop with demo options would be a great addition.

I have played this course for years and it never gets old- great condition and great staff- will definitely be back!

Played 7/15 on a day that was supposed to be rained out, but we were able to play a fast round (3 1/2) hours on a lush well manicured course. The greens were fast but true ( my playing partner sunk a 66 ft putt for birdie), and the only negative was that because of the rain, some of the sandtraps were a bit mucky. But they could be raked to be more smooth so it wasn't an impediment.

The GPS cart screens were pretty accurate and very helpful if you don't know the course.

The course has come SO far from the year when it was flooded, and I was very impressed. I look forward to my next round at Chevy Chase.

Why does it cost more to book online vs. calling in, much simpler to book online and should not have an added fee to it, very confusing and disappointing
