About
Chevy Chase Country Club (formerly known as Traditions at Chevy Chase Country Club) in Wheeling is one of Chicagoland's top public golf facilities. Thomas Bendelow designed the golf course in 1925. The classic layout remained largely the same until 2002 when a major renovation updated the course and made it more challenging. The layout now has deep pot bunkers lined with tall native fescue that border the generous, rolling greens and undulating fairways. Though it is more challenging than it was, the golf course still offers a player-friendly round. Four sets of tees also ensure that golfers can play to their skill level. The course finishes with its signature hole, a par 5 that features water both left and right of the landing area off the tee. Three massive bunkers and yet another pond all fiercely guard the green as well.

Nice course great value!
The course was in really good condition for March. Green fairways and greens. Challenging for us which we like. I also like that Chevy Chase is not gouging us like most other courses. Thanks for that we will be back soon!

Did Not Play This Year
I keep getting asked to write a review and I do not know why. I have played this course many times in the past and have always enjoyed as I think it is a good value at a well maintained course. Service has been somewhat clunky at times but I am planning on playing it in 2021.
Solid
This course is one of my favorites to get a fair challenge to my game at a very reasonable price and close to home. Always seem to pair up with friendly, solid players who are like minded. It is kept up well but needs more Ranger attention to the slow players who inevitably backup the course on nearly everyday and take away from the enjoyment.
The Chase Is On
This is not my regular course but one that I try to play each season as i enjoy it as it is well maintained, attractively priced, and has a good pace of play.

Nice course
One of the few courses that are not price gouging customers . I see courses charging 50 60 bucks in December. Chevy is reasonable and it’s appreciated. Course in good shape too!

Solid course
This is a nice and challlenging course but this time of the year, there's so much poop on the tee box and fairways, which should have been cleaned regardless. Some days the pace is very slow and some days, it's fast.

Challenging Course
I've played this course twice and the layout of holes is very fun and challenging. Watch out for lots of duck poop though.
