The Tee Boxes could use some water, and in some cases a little more grass. Some sand in the traps would be a nice addition. Overall, the course was not in bad shape, and was quite playable. The putting greens were the best I've seen on this course in a while.

Ball Washers
I highly recommend this golf course. I brought my 16 yr old grandson so he could sharpen his skills. This course was perfect. The only bad thing was there was no water in ball washers. That flaw will not keep me away from this course

Course was poorly maintained and designed
Lots of uncut grass, trees and bushes that weren’t well maintained, tee boxes and garbage cans that weren’t cleaned.
Trees and sand were in places that penalized good shots vs bad shots. For example, one hole had a tree hanging over the fairway, forcing a tee shot that would’ve been in the rough if the ball was well struck, and another hole had sand that couldnt be seen from the tee box right in front of the green, preventing a nice long drive that rolled up the fairway from reaching the green.

Great Improvements!
Salt Creek has made great improvements to fairways, greens and the no non existent geese issue. This course is in fantastic shape. And with the mature trees and beautiful setting it’s hard to beat. Hats off to Woodale park district for making this a really nice course again.
