The course itself was very nice, and in good condition. The problem was that the course booked an outing that day, and let the large outing all play their own ball instead of a scramble format. Needless to say we had to wait at every tee box from the 10th hole and on. The round ended up taking us almost an extra two hour to complete it.

My experience was not so pleasant. Maybe if it had been on a different date and time it would have been better. There was a Golf Outing group ahead of us on the back 9 and the pace of play was horrible. Other golfers that were behind us were not aware of the Golf Outing and they were being very rude and jumping ahead without asking if it was okay. Their actions just made things worse. This is something that should have been controlled by the course marshals. I’m sure this does not happen on a daily basis, but unfortunately it happened to me on my first visit.
Hands down favorite course NE Illinois
Memorable holes, woodland front 9, links back 9. Top notch amenities & friendly staff. Best carts of 40 courses I play yearly, GPS, electric, clean & modern. Great pro shop, ATM & fantastic 19th hole outdoors overlooking 4 holes from a high vantage point. Good food. $100 peak hrs (weekend primetime), $60 off hrs. Worth it. Have played here 10 times. Always exceptional.
Disappointed.
Staff has always been the most poorly trained I've ever witnessed. We were hosting a client there a number of years ago. He got a hole in one. Asked staff what they do to recognize such events. Nothing. Said it was pretty usual. "Some teenager just got a hole in one on the same home the week before". Made it seem an everyday event. Jerks. Yesterday was not much better. May have upped their game modestly but still saw staff chatting together and not serving guests. Real overhaul needed. Pretty strong course in a physical sense but staff is clueless.
Golf this course
Excellent. A bit pricey, but competitive for top courses in Chicagoland. I do not know how these couerses survice, there were siix players on the course that morning. A outing in the afternoon must be the way they survive. All was excellent and I highly recommend the course.
Tough Course!
Our first experience here. The only interaction with staff was at check-in and at the turn. We played on a weekday so there were very few players on the course.. Thus, no pace of play issues. Due to weekday play, there was no beverage cart. Food and beverage at the turn took too much time and at best, was mediocre. This is a difficult course for a double digit handicap. Course (fairways and greens) were in good condition. Value proposition is OK. I do recommend this course.
One of my new favorites
Played here on a very early weekend morning. The staff was very attentive and generous. This course is unique and challenging. A fair and true test of your golf skills. The front 9 is a little easier than the back 9. Back 9 has lots of water in play, almost every hole on the back has water. Conditions were perfect from tee to green. Super fast greens too which i love to roll the rock on. Rate can be a bit pricey at times. If they brought their rates down a bit i would play here all the time.
Great staff
Hard work on the coarse and customer service really shows. Nice layout made tougher by the wind. Uses all the clubs in the bag and a few I didn't have. Challenging.
Excellent pace and course layout. A mixed of challenging holes.
Awesome course!
This course if very challenging. There is water on many of the holes. To add to the difficulty, there is plenty of undulation & an abudence of sand traps. The tees, fairways, greens & sand traps are in incredible shape! You'd think it was mid season. The flowers & bushes are already blooming & make a beautiful back drop to this must play course. The staff are very friendly & helpful!!
Beautiful but challenging course
First time playing Seven Bridges and it was as challenging as I had heard. The Course is beautiful and worth the challenge. Would not suggest on a windy day.
Back nine
Back nine is very difficult especially on a course with no driving range or short game facilities..an average golfer cannot enjoy the back nine and tires them out
Difficult track
First time playing here. Round was pricey $50+ but thankfully I had golfnow credit. It was well worth the experience. The course is very challenging but fun. It was unusually busy even for the not too great weather conditions. This slowed pace of play but overall it wasn't too bad. We grouped up with the twosome behind us and had a great time. $5 a beer was steep. Staff was great.
GREAT COURSE.
The back nine with the Famous seven bridges did not disappoint. Very windy but very fun . Bring lots of golf balls if you are a average golfer. Real nice open air bar overlooking the course. In my opinion you have to play this course.
Great course with awesome staff
We live in the area and have never been out to play at Seven Bridges. The experience is that of a private country club. The staff is very friendly, courteous, and most importantly efficient. The cost is on par for upscale service and a challenging course with a well maintained landscape. If you want to feel like your at a private club without having to pay membership fees, then this is one of the great options in the area.
Metzy
Great rate but not worth the $80-$100 normal price. Stay below the hole if you can. You can score on the front nine but the back nine is very difficult from tee to green. Conditions were outstanding except for a lot of ball marks on the greens.
