Cc like all around. Play smart and enjoy!
Great layout! Greens, fairways, sand- All great conditions. Pick the yardage to match your ability or you will get eaten up. Sweet views but watch out as the oaks and water can get you. Tough greens- fast. Only issue I would change is the gps, no need for ads and having to hit buttons- tips ok but just give me the yardage.
Great course
Took my dad out to sneak 18 in before the end of the season. What a course! Great shape. Greens ran fast and true even though they had been aerated recently. Couldn't say one putt was affected by it. Challenging holes with alot of water and other hazards but a fair and tough test. Grounds crew did effective job of removing leaves so no balls were lost to that. Finished round in 2:45. Weren't rushed and the staff was excellent. Only knock is a lack of a driving range. They have nets set up but that doesn't tell you much. I don't understand how a top level golf course doesn't have a range. There is property in front of the clubhouse for one and they used to have one in the past. Oh well. I will be back. I have played most top public courses in Chicago and this is in my top five with Ruffled Feathers, Dubs, Prairie Landing and Cantiny being the others.
tale of two nines
Fun, challenging course. Front side very traditional with lots of trees. Back side lots of water, few trees. Firm, moderately quick greens. Great course conditions, friendly staff. Not a whole lot of people on the course for a weekend.
Great course...slow play
This was my first time at Seven Bridges and I loved the course. It was very challenging, with graeat variety. But the round took 5 hours and I didn't see a Marshall one time. Good thing I paid fall rates because if I paid $100 to take 5 hours, I would not be happy about that.
Brought back memories
Played here 45 years ago when it was the Woodridge golf club and 36 holes. I could actually see some of the old holes remnants now revised. Great track for squeezing everything into a smaller footprint. Houses are not an issue and the trees are incredible! Some narrow fairways for long par fours and some sand traps are lacking sand so watch for stones. As in most golf courses there are a few holes with gimmicks. Overall good maintenance shows in the effort of grounds crew.
This is a course worth playing at a discounted rate and a reasonable skill level.
Sandi review
StRter was not friendly or nice
Ranger told up to pick up speed for no reason whatsoever
excellent and challenging!
What a great track to play ,excellent condition and very challenging.course can be very forgiving if you're shooting well.
Great course even after deluge
Was enjoying the fine course conditions and the overall great experience using a special Golf Now rate when a 45 minute downpour ensued. After about 30 minutes, we went back out and noticed that course had drained quite well. We were told in the club house an option would be to get a rain check, but the conditions were more than satisfactory even after the relatively, but still heavy rain.
Great course.
Great course but very bad weather. Closed the course after a very heavy storm came through. GolfNow gave a full refund from my Hot deal!
Seven Bridges is tough but fair test. THe course was in great condition before the rain.
Front Nine
The front nine gets 5 Stars. The back nine was not one of my favorite nines, but it played nice and very challenging.
Golfers heaven
Beautiful day, great course, and thanks to golf now, great price. Too often my buddies look for the cheapest course rather than the best deal. Golf is not just about you, but it should be about the aesthetics and playing conditions. If I had a terrible performance, which I didn't (83), I would have enjoy my day being surrounded by the natural beauty and great course conditions. The beds of flowers didn't go unnoticed!
Outstanding layout- Eye candy!
Tee boxes are layed out for every level of golfer-
Each hole commands your full attention but in an enjoyable way. Pro tips on the cart mounted GPS should be digested prior to your tee shot. Fairways soft and plush, greens were average speed with some undulations.
Nice course and we rated it one of our top ten statewide.
Nice course
Slow play......................................................................................................
VERY good course
Very good course!!! Will definitely play there again. Everything was inviting from the moment you dropped of your clubs! A must play.
Great Customer Service
This is a course that knows how to treat their customers. Starter was fantastic explaining the GPS system. Course was in very good condition and took advantage of the half price appetizer coupon when we where done.
Good golf course but very tough back nine
Pros: Staff was fine. Facilities are nice. Course was in great shape considering how much water flows thru the course. Cons: No driving range, just a net to hit into. GPS on our golf carts gave us different yardage readings. Front nine is fun and playable. Back nine has a crazy amount of water on it. I am not a good enough golfer anymore to play a course this difficult, even from the white tees.
Swamped
Due to recent heavy rains, it was cart paths only. Pace of play was so slow that I quit after 16 holes and walked / carried my clubs back to the clubhouse. As I made my way, I saw the cause of the slow play. A foursome (2 couples) who were total hackers were at least 3 holes behind the group in front of them. There were rangers on the course but they didn't seem to encourage the group to pick up their pace
Let's be honest
Seven Bridges, an incredibly challenging golf course but still leaves it a little to be desired the way it presents itself. A few years back they started charging a rack rate of $100 on the weekend. A $100 course has a driving range, Seven Bridges does not but they have bag staff you can tip for no reason. A $100 course still has fast, well rolled and well cut greens despite one of the worst winters in recent memory, Seven Bridges did not. Very bumpy and didn't roll true. The course layout is so beautiful and challenge, but when putts don't roll right it loses everything.
Lose the foursome only booking policies and you'll fill up more tee times on golfnow and get some grounds budget to turn the place back into what it was 4-5 years ago.
Seven Bridges
Booked a foursome at a discounted rate. I had played the course a year ago in a scramble so I wanted to play again, but not at their normal rate. The tee boxes and greens were a bit beat up, but the rest of the course was in good condition. The course was definitely challenging. The pace of play was pretty good. I'd play again at the discounted rate.
