Shepherd's Crook Golf Course

Nice course , great condition , club house prices could be less but had a great time .

One of my favorite courses in the area. Interesting layout with nice variety. Fairways are pretty wide off the tee. Approach shots are more challenging, as several green complexes have big humps and swales, but nothing unreasonable or unfair. If it had a driving range, this place would be just about perfect.

If Shepherd’s Crook had a driving range, it would be almost perfect. The course is great, with a variety of looks and challenges, a little tougher than the rating and slope in my opinion, but very fair. Can’t complain about aeration this time of year.

Best course in the northern suburbs! Great links golf with challenging greens.

This course was fun, especially chipping onto and putting on greens that had many levels and small hilly valleys...really enjoyed the challenges.

Greens too tricked out. Holes were placed on impossible locations. On spines and one inches away from a false front. Was having a decent round but quit counting at 10 when I went down the false front 4 times. Cmon! Otherwise good value on great property.

Excellent for this part of the state - You can rarely find this style of course that actually plays like a links style. The fairways are in incredible shape and very surprising for a course in the park district. Difficult - the sloping greens and fairways are a fun and challenging terrain. Would definitely play again and would recommend.
