Slow pace
Nice course if you have 5.5 to 6 hours to play. We completely stopped at about hole 7 … rest of round took almost 4 hours. This was on a weekday.
Played this course twice so far this year. Pace of play very slow both times. I believe it's people playing from the wrong tee box. Think they are better than they really are.
Nice course
Saturday afternoon, course was packed. 2 Rangers trying to speed up play but there's only so much they could do. Took 5hrs for the round, not too bad but could have been better. Starter and staff were as friendly as could be. Range is great and well kept. Clubhouse is old school, small and could use an upgrade, if you care about those things. I don't.... Course was in great condition and beautiful scenery. I would definitely go back!
Gem
Palmira is a true hidden gem. Combo of layout, feel lack of homes and condition at this price a NoBrainer
Great playing course
Palmira is a great course to play with a reasonable price. It is very busy all day on the weekends but it’s a treat to play. There are some cool elevated tee boxes around the course. The course itself is in good condition but could use a little work on the greens and tee boxes. That’s knit picking. Also, the clubhouse is nearly non existent. For the type of place that it is, if the owners had any money to dump into a nice clubhouse this place would be something entirely different and absolutely a powerhouse course in the area. I understand that takes a good deal of money but that’s what separated an average course from a stand out, pinnacle course in the area. Currently, this is still a great course to play for a good rate in the northwest Indiana area.
Pace of play very slow. Course allows fivesomes. Ranger did nothing about it. No sand in Bunkers. Would recommend to others with a warning about pace of play.
Unique off the Tee and Greens are Legit
Course was fun, but missing a little conditioning. For a bust day, they got us around in a respectable time. Not much for amenities but good food at the grill.
Course was lacking any sand in bunkers which has become a curse at most mid tier and below courses. Fun off the tee and most greens had a ton of character. Damage on the greens and a few random runoff woes made it the score above.
Not a good day of golf
Started by not being able to get a cart, due to perception they were too crowded, which turned out not to be the case. We had a foursome, which is typical golf, only to be followed by 7, yes, 7 separate twosomes! Needless to say, it turned into a day of letting them through and getting hit into repeatedly. Poor management of the whole process! Only positive was the price.
Great Layout
This course has a wonderful layout, numerous very challenging holes, sand traps need some TLC, but greens rolled nice
Very busy on a Friday afternoon.
Staff very friendly.
Course is fantastic.
