Bad Pace of Play & Tee Time Management
Took us 4 hours to play 14 holes as a threesome. Ranger was out around the course and did not do anything to improve pace of play. Made the turn and the course let another foursome off the back in front of us and two other groups making the turn which backed things up even more. Course was beat up. Probably will not return.

We will be back
It’s always fun to try a new course and have it meet, or even exceed expectations. Elbels is not a top tier course, and yet it was a truly enjoyable place to play. Good condition, great natural setting, interesting layout. We’ll be back.

Beautiful fun course excellent value!
Course was in great condition challenging yet friendly layout all the staff were very friendly and helpful! Will definitely be coming back to Elbel!

Reception Lady
Excited to play the first time after a long winter. We dropped off our bags and assumed we'd get a golf cart to go to the driving range before our tee time. Yet the reception lady told us we'd get a cart only when we were ready to tee off. So we had to carry our bags with range balls from the bad drop to the range. It makes no sense why she did that and it ruined our experience with this golf course. So if you go, watch out this lady and insist for a cart.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Great experience
The course was in great condition. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly and made sure you were taken care of. Beyond content with the layout of the course and how well maintained everything was.

This is a very nice public course that is well maintained. It's not real hard but it does make you pay for your mistakes. The wildlife is also very nice. And the course is quiet--very few houses and roads

Bad experience
The pace of play was the worst I have ever experienced. One group (or person) slowed down at least a dozen and no one from the course did anything about it. Should have quit after 9 it was so frustrating.
That was compounded by my cart not having enough power to go uphill. Even on the slightest incline it would only move like at one tenth of one mile per hour. I finally had to leave it on the course and ride with group behind me (which was easy because we were all bunched up and waiting anyway - sometimes 3 groups at a time)

Elbel, best course in town!
This course is the jewel of South Bend. The layout of the course is secluded from the bustle of traffic and surrounded by wildlife. It is a great place to enjoy a round of golf. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I recommend this course to all my friends and it's my preferred place to play.

Fun course with lots of wildlife
Elbel is a beautiful course to play. So many elevation changes, water areas, trees and fast greens. The wildlife never disappoints either. We’ve seen deer, sandhill cranes, wild Turkey, turtles, frogs and of course squirrels, groundhogs and geese! Wooded areas like to eat balls so stay away! Just a beautiful challenging course.

Best course
Elbel is my very favorite course.!! It's in great shape... it is challenging ...it has alot of character , and is by far the pretties course around.... if you can play in the Fall, it will blow your mind...!!!!!
