At Widgi Creek Golf Club, you'll discover the most comprehensive golf, sports and fitness environment in the Northwest. Start with a full eighteen holes of championship golf that meander beneath huge pines along the rim of the dramatic Deschutes River Canyon. Add practical, hands-on tips from one of the area's finest staffs of golf professionals.
Designed by Robert Muir Graves in 1989, Widgi Creek is over 6900 yards and plays to a par of 72. The course is a challenge to every level of player. Characterized by fast undulation greens, it is considered one of the top 5 courses in the area. Golf Digest called Widgi Creek, "the sleeper in Central Oregon" and Golf Magazine called it a "must play". Widgi Creek will always be considered to be among the best maintained in the area.
After the round, relax at The Grill or shop the fully stocked pro shop. The Grill provides tasty light fair with daily specials for lunch and dinner. Both indoor and outdoor facilities are available with a marvelous expanded outdoor deck that looks out over the golf course. Exceptional banquet facilities (seating to 150) are available with specialized menus.

Green tees
Couldn’t see them always and they were not placed where ground was level.
Beautiful Golf Course!
Expansive fairways and greens were impressive. I would play here again anytime!!!
Avoid the Grouch
Beautiful course. Fairway conditions average, greens above average, well groomed and predictable. Course marshal quite unfriendly. As we were on the 10th the marshal accused us of slow play telling us to speed it up, in very unfriendly tones. His issue was for 3 holes ahead of us there was no one and that we must be slow, even though there was no one behind use. What he didn't seem to understand was that the 2 foursomes of women ahead of us only played the front nine. Needless to say he spoiled the day for us leaving a bad memory.
Overpriced
The Pro Shop was well stocked. The fairways and cart paths were in good shape. The Marshall and cart girl were excellent. Play was very slow and it only got better after the threesome in front quit. There were no ball washers on the cart. The carts were older and brakes had to be set. The restaurant and/or bar (aka The 19th Hole) was closed and so no drinks after the round. In short, this was a respectable course, it used to be one of our favourites but not anymore. The ROI for this course is below par. The big tip - look at the score card and consider the slope level and your skill level before you play.
First time my wife and I played the course. It was in great shape . Service was perfect. We will play here again
Nice Course
Everything was great! The course was in great shape! Staff was awesome. Only complaint was the Ladies group was following us on the first tee and they made the starter come over and tell us we need to make sure that we were on the move so that we didn’t hold them up???? That’s crap! They didn’t know if we were good or bad. They were never seen the whole round - maybe they should keep pace???
