At Widgi Creek Golf Club, you'll discover the most comprehensive golf, sports and fitness environment in the Northwest. Start with a full eighteen holes of championship golf that meander beneath huge pines along the rim of the dramatic Deschutes River Canyon. Add practical, hands-on tips from one of the area's finest staffs of golf professionals.
Designed by Robert Muir Graves in 1989, Widgi Creek is over 6900 yards and plays to a par of 72. The course is a challenge to every level of player. Characterized by fast undulation greens, it is considered one of the top 5 courses in the area. Golf Digest called Widgi Creek, "the sleeper in Central Oregon" and Golf Magazine called it a "must play". Widgi Creek will always be considered to be among the best maintained in the area.
After the round, relax at The Grill or shop the fully stocked pro shop. The Grill provides tasty light fair with daily specials for lunch and dinner. Both indoor and outdoor facilities are available with a marvelous expanded outdoor deck that looks out over the golf course. Exceptional banquet facilities (seating to 150) are available with specialized menus.

Enjoyed my round
Great course. Staff very courteous and helpful. Not a course for a beginner. I did see several wet spots on the course either due to a surplus of watering or broken pipes for the sprinkler system. Also noted the driving range is really used/abused. That was a negative first impression, but get past that and it is very enjoyable course. Drink cart was very respective to not interrupt the golfers by roaring by in the middle of someones shot.
Tough course for average golfers, so play will always be slow
This course has an excellent championship course design that is fine for the sub 10 handicap players, but it is not a course I would recommend to the mid to high handicaps. I played at 3pm and it was 5 hour round with no marshalls in sight. There were several groups of mid- to high players in front of us who could not keep pace because the course is just too difficult, and they had poor understanding of how to keep pace (3 min lost ball rule, picking up at triple bogey, etc). The slope for the 6500 course is 128 but it is more like Pronghorn at 138. Both way too high for a public golf course. Quail Run in La Pine is similar to Widgi but way more playable.
Course is well maintained
Nice fairways, and fast undulating greens. Offers many different tee boxes for all levels of golfers. Par 5's are long. Pace was a little slow, but not that impactful.
Fun Course
We had a fun round. Pace of play was pretty slow. Saw a cool eagle and an osprey.

Enjoyed our round here. Course condition was good and the greens were good too. Not too challenging but it was still interesting.
Great Course
FAIRWAYS AND GREENS IN NICE SHAPE W/GREENS BEING A LITTLE FAST. ONLY PROBLEM WAS SLOW PLAYERS IN FRONT OF US PLAYING IN SOME TYPE OF TKURNAMENT THEY WERE PLAYING FROM THE TIPS AND SHOULD HAVE BEN PKAYING FROM THE WHITE SR TEES AT BEST.

Beautiful alpine setting, Muir Graves course, excellent condition, great practice range/area. Some severe greens and a few awkward holes (it takes a couple of rounds and some course knowledge to know how to play them) but all-in-all one of my favorite courses in Bend. Great staff, lame bar/grill scene though nice patio/deck.

Very slow play after 3pm
Course is in great shape, but there is very slow play any time after 3pm. I will continue to go back and play for a great price.
