Ranger's needed
5 some and beginner 4 some would not let a fast two-some play through.
Not what it used to be
Course has gone downhill over the last few years. Rough was way to long, spent way to much time looking for my golf balls instead of enjoying the game.
Nice layout, friendly staff, WORST PUNCHED GREENS EVER
Was real excited to play this course. Read the GN reviews that greens were punched. Asked Mgt , and they said Greens were punched 2 weeks ago, and there should be no problem now. What they didn’t say was, They didn’t fill the holes with enough sand, or watered the greens to allow the holes to soak up the water.. Balls bounced everywhere. If you happen to hit the gir, there was no guarantee the ball would stay on the green. Forget about putting.
As for the course, great looking rolling hills type of track.
Highly recommend playing this when holes fill in. At this time,. not now. Go to cherry blossom.

This is a nice links course and, I'm sure it would be awesome when the greens are in great shape but not fun when they are being punched.
Challenging Link Course
Long fairways with all types of bunkers. The Senior PGA played here. Greens are challenging and every hole is challenging.
Great Course
It was a brutal links type day on the course with stiff winds wrecking havoc, but the course itself is in great shape. Loved the layout and while the greens were somewhat tricky, the ball would run true. Not your typical public course greens. Definitely looking forward to playing this course again (and again).

Fairways a little rough in a few spots
Overall course layout is wonderful
Windy
Nice course layout. Some of the fairways were in dire need of attention. The wind was extreme today so it made it very difficult to drive off the tee or to get GIR.
Helpful Friendly Staff
I was visiting Lexington and explaining this is my first time playing this course and the gentlemen working that day was knowledgeable and helpful in giving me direction. I was thanked for attending, told they were glad to have me and invited me back. You don’t get that at many courses. I will surely come back to Kearny Hills.
