Great course!
A little routine maintenance on a couple holes but no big deal. My only suggestion would be to cut the maple trees out as thier seeds are completely covering a couple greens and you just can’t put through that. Otherwise Fantastic course will be back.
Few holes closed
Course in great shape. A few holes are closed on the front which makes for an interesting round. you start on 10 and play 10-12. You then jump around and finish with the entire back. It ended up being backed up at 10 as people beginning and making the turn were on the same holes. Not sure how long this will be but will be a problem as it gets busier. Staff was great and let us adjust holes. Enjoyed the round!

Carey Park during Pandemic
Always enjoy playing Carey Park and do it quite often. This was first time playing Carey Park since golf courses had limitations due to COVID-19. Kudos to Carey Park. - process in club house was very efficient and easy to follow; it appears they are making the best of a bad situation..
Enjoyable round of golf
Only issue was start..... not sure if we were paired up because we were told anything when we checked in. Tee times on this day seemed irrelevant because there was group of five starting on senior tees and a foursome waiting at same time on normal tee box..... all 4 minutes before our scheduled tee time. In other words, tee times weren’t being monitored and it appeared “go whenever you’re ready even if you cut in front of someone with scheduled tee time” was today’s SOP. Asked about starting on different hole near club house and were told “probably not because they were totally full”
Don’t necessarily put all blame on club house.... golfers should have courtesy to check with other golfers/groups to find out what their tee time is and let them go if they’re scheduled before them..... we always do this
Carey Park always fun
For quick, enjoyable and medium difficulty round of golf, take the time for 18 holes at Carey Park. While not the most challenging course in the area, you still have to control your shots to keep score from ballooning. Too bad holes 1-17 don’t have contour and aesthetics of number 18!. Always enjoy golfing here and definitely worth the short drive from Wichita considering it’s price and pace of play compared to muni courses in Wichita.
