course was in the dumps for a long time. It looks and is playing like a up and coming public course. Keep up the good work
Nice place to relax
Carey Park Golf Course is a nice and convenient course to play a round of golf on. The course is above par friendly as long as you stay away from the trees. The staff is friendly and willing to help any way possible.
It was a beautiful day for golf. I have played this course many times before and it was great! I look forward to playing here again in the future.

Great Day For Golf
I always enjoy playing at Carey Park. The course is usually in great shape, the staff is always friendly and helpful and the practice green is large enough for many people to use before their tee time.
My only (small) complaint is that for whatever reason, I always seem to get stuck golfing behind a different foursome of older men which slows the pace dramatically and clogs up the course. Sometimes the group will allow me to pass, but this time I was at the mercy of their snail's pace.
All in all, Carey Park is a great place to golf 18.
Not bad course
Good value for the money. Course is mostly wide fairways and very forgiving. Some holes are challenging providing for some strategy. Greens were pretty rough must have doing work recently.
Bring a back brace
Played this on a Friday with a hot tee time. Drove from Wichita figuring I would try something new.
The course is in pretty rough shape. Almost all of the course is rock hard and most of the greens and fairways are showing signs of being burnt up, even though this area has had tons of rain this year.
The ground is very hard, rough, and bumpy throughout the entire course. Riding in the cart is quiet jarring and your clubs in your bag will take a beating.
The layout is rather straight forward with little in imagination. Most holes are dead ahead and have small hard greens. Not a lot of trouble unless you're way off line.
I would not recommend this course unless you have no other options and you get a hot deal time. The only redeeming part of the round was the lack of golfers on the course.
The practice putting green was also in bad shape and was much slower than anything on the course.
I will not play again.
Well kept public course
Carey Park is a nice course in the southern part of Hutchinson, Kansas. Pretty straight forward, no suprises. Greens are in decent shape and the back tees can make the course a little longer on some holes. The best part about the course is the staff. Very nice people and they are extremely accommodating. I don't play the course very often but I am always impressed with how nice everyone is there.

Cart
Like this course, played many times. They have made improvements in the last few years. I did not appreciate being accused of damaging a golf cart. We were very careful driving as I respect others properties. For that reason I may not go back.
Course under construction
Course is coming along good. Greens are great shape for spring and fairways should be good come this summer.
nice track
Long par 3's nice fairways,greens running pretty good not many hazards but course still plays challenging.Nice to have a municipal course kept up great course n an excellent value.
Nice place to play
Not an overly difficult course - some fairways were being sod so 3 longer holes played as short 3's. Nice staff and course was in fairly good condition. Alot of fun!
Average Course
Average difficulty, they were re-sodding several holes and we were unable to play them.
Several tough Par 4's
Holes 3, 4 and 5 are about as tough of a three hole Par 4 stretch in the Wichita and surrounding area. Although not a lot of trouble, these three holes are lengthy....at least for anyone with a handicap above 12. Tough pin placements on several holes. Overall greens in great shape although slow. Fairways not in good shape, but overall experience was great.
