Carey Park Golf Course

Always enjoy golfing Carey Park - it is our go-to course if we don’t want to deal with full courses/slow pace of play in Wichita. Staff very friendly and accommodating. From parking lot to club house, to the course, it appears they really have high expectation of what they offer to customers. Too bad holes 1-17 don’t have rolling hills or contour like #18.

Always enjoyable experience. Gentleman working at front desk very polite and accommodating - took steps to ensure pace of play was adequate and allowed me to start on back nine so I wouldn’t be stuck behind a number of groups. Some holes were having sod put in some areas that we had to play around but will be nice once complete.

Worth drive from Wichita to golf 18 holes at Carey Park in Hutch. While course is somewhat basic, hitting ball straight off tee is a must or you will be dealing with trees. Too bad holes 1-17 don’t have rolling fairways like #18.

The only down side was the 30 - 40 mph winds , but thats Kansas in the spring.Greens were in great shape and what a challenge with the wind. Love the course and especially the people. I will be back. Played with another person who walked and we were done in 3 1/2 hrs.

The course was it was really windy and 30 mile mark us it was a concert in the park 15 to 20 mile an hour but other Nat it was a good day best of my worst day on the golf course Eden the best

Considering price, expectations were met. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Nice day so a lot of people on course but pace of play was fine - I am patient and was enjoying being outside. Some of the greens are in need of major repair and impacted our putting but considering we are recreational golfers and out to have fun, we dealt with it and moved on.

Decent enough but wouldn't, and don't golf here frequently anymore due to the course conditions falling significantly in the past year and a half, especially on the greens. I can handle some rough fairways but the greens here are pretty bad on a few holes, even the practice green is only usable on one side due to patching. Was a fantastic course a year and a half ago, now not so much...

Golfed on Monday afternoon so wasn’t terribly busy. Staff very friendly and gentleman I spoke with about starting on back nine (due to a Senior threesome on hole one) was very polite, courteous and accommodating. Always enjoy have a beverage in club house on weekend rounds.

Not too difficult of a course but still has challenging areas you must maneuver to avoid high score. For money and pace of play, definitely worth it. Too bad holes 1-17 aren’t similar to hole 18 (majority of Course pretty flat, 18 being the exception).

Enjoyable round. After playing through a couple of very slow foursomes, pace of play was very good. Staff at front desk not very talkative. Assumed we weren’t paired with anyone because they didn’t say anything. Course layout pretty basic. Wish holes 1-17 were as picturesque as number 18. Overall, easy drive from Wichita to Hutchinson and much less congested than Wichita courses.

Very nice course with a great staff. Real value for the price. Would definitely play again and recommend to anyone. Be careful, T's are long and somewhat narrow. Lots of wild turkeys on the back nine.

They had just aerated the greens, so putting was atrocious. For a course in one of the major Kansas cities, I expected it to be better taken care of. This course was dry, rather bare in quite a few spots, and overall it just didn't feel like people cared about it. The carts were fairly new, and electric, so they were quiet. That was probably the highlight of the round. I won't be going back.

Course under construction on holes2,3,4. Otherwise management was very agreeable in making this a pleasant outing.

I couldn’t of picked a worse day to play golf. Gust up to 50 mph, dust blowing it was the worst day I have ever played in.

The course had two hole, 2 & 3 that we’re under repair, so condition weren’t very good.

I booked a tee time for 1 golfer. Another golfer booked a single reservation and I was strongly and awkwardly encouraged to have to pair with this other individual after telling the attendant I preferred to play alone. My only question is why do they allot for two tee times yet tell me they have to combine our two tee times to make us play together. The booking on golf now should not have an effect on how I'm treated at the course in my opinion. And I don't think golf now would approve of clubs forcing individual tee times to combine with strangers, especially when the level of play and individual intention of the round is so different than the stranger paired with.

I am hesitant to book through the app again, especially at this course.

I have played this course many times before, so I like playing it. The only complaint I have is that the staff was in the process of aerateing the greens on the front nine and it was closed down. If I had known that the front was closed I would not have driven the 57 miles from my home to play the back nine twice. Thanks!
