Great course
Miss the bunkers, made course look at lot better bur with out them it’s more user friendly and speeds up place of play. Enjoy playing every time I play Eagle Trace, good road trip.
A little wet
Never played here in the winter. We were surprised it was cart path only after several days with no rain, but we found out why when we played. The course was still wet. Staff informed us that the course is Cart Path Only all winter because it just doesn’t dry out until warmer weather. Also, bring food with you if you want to eat as the clubhouse is not stocked during the winter months. Other than that, the course was in good shape and it’s a great layout. We love to play here. We meet our buddy from Louisville here to play because it is about halfway between us. We will be back!
Great Golf Experience
Eagle Trace is a very challenging course. Today, it was made even more challenging because there were not white tee boxes. This forced us to play from the tips. This made the course very challenging because, not only was length a factor, but it was wet and you received little to no roll. Wet courses are expected in this area this time of year, so I didn't hold that against it. The greens were in great shape, as was the dormant fairways. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Due to the rain, it was cart path only, but it's not a hard course to walk. The driving range was closed because to how wet it was and the balls plugging into the ground. I would highly recommend this course to anyone in the eastern part of Kentucky or driving through.
Solid Sub-Division GC
Solid KY golf course in a sub-division with houses well off the fairways. Course is owned by Morehead State University and the do a very good job with conditioning. Course has plenty of room in the fairways and the green designs are unique and challenging.
To many leaves
I know it was later in the year and the leaves are falling but when you couldn't find or even putt your ball on the majority of greens, well that's to many leaves. We did have fun though.
November at Eagle Trace.
Great round except for the amount of leaves on several holes on back nine. Will be back if weather allows.
Great course
Enjoy playing this course every time, lot of good memories of times with friends over many years.
First time in 21 in KY
Course was in excellent condition. Best greens I've played on this year. Will definitely be back this summer.
