Player Beware
This is one of those courses that ou play when you cannot find another place in the world to play or, you just happen to be visiting a friend who lives across the street from the course and there is a guy selling Prov1s $10 a dozen out of his trunk on the 12th hole.
Yes - it's that bad.......
The club house could be nice but the peole who run the course is not investing in any part of the course including the club house. They're selling a $.50 bag of chips for $1.25 and a few overly microwaved hotdogs and burgers. They only sell one type of beer that look like it was left over from a previous golf outing and they hardly have any equipemnet to sell. i.e. a very small golf ball selection.
There appears to be some strange things aheppening in the club house that might contribute to the reasons why they are not putting in money into the course. Just keep an eye out when paying for your round or snack items.
The course is a cow pasture with very little grass in the fairway. Yo have to roll the ball onto a small patch of grass if you're luck to find some. However, there is frass in the rough area which will be the smart play on your tee shots.
The greens were ok/playable. I will say that they do take care of the greens as best as they can which is the best feature of this course.
The layout of the course is challenging with several doglegs, trees and elevated greens. You will have to perfectly place your tee shots or you will find the treeline, rough or maybe another ball that someone gave up on searching for.
Even at a discounted rate, and there are plenty of them out there - this is one course I would say your should pass on. You would be better off finding an old vacant field to hit your golf ball around.
Cheapest in the area
I started playing this course when I just couldn't justify the expense every month of a private club in the area. It's a great course for the money. Wish they had water fountains on the course.
Good Price, Nice Course
I hadn't played here in years; I remember growing up and playing here with my Dad. It's a completely different course than I remember, starting with a new clubhouse. I was worried that because it was public that it would take forever to play but we moved around super fast. I was also surprised that the course was very well taken care of and was actually green - a lot of courses this year had bermuda that just didn't do well this year...not an issue here. The back 9 was not as difficult as I remember...
