Played 4 holes. Rained out. They did not give rain check
Worth the Money but nothing special
Unversity Club is a nice affordable golf course especially for seniors. Nice layout but not always in the best condition, carts are old and not very well kept and staff sometimes act like they wish they weren’t there. We play often because it is very affordable and close to Louisville. The University of Louisville Golf Club right down the road is much nicer and in much better shape, should be rated.
Price was different than what app said
Had to pay more than what app said so something is a little fishy with that.
Great time
The staff wasn’t the most helpful especially since I was alone. He just sent me to the parking lot to “find some other single to pair with”. Didn’t find him, so I grabbed a cart and headed out. The course was beautiful! Very challenging for me and in overall just great shape. I will definitely be back!
Excellent condition
Course was in great shape, tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Greens were slow compared to what we normally play but they are in fantastic shape for late June and 90 degree heat.
First timer at this course
Friendly people in the pro shop.
Course is in good shape.
Big Blue Doesn’t Disappoint
Big Blue at the University Club of Kentucky is an excellent course. Tough design and plenty of water to keep you honest. One of my favorite so far in the Lexington area. This will become my home course.
Big Blue Does Not Disappoint
I have now played both courses at the University Club. Big Blue is definitely the better of the 2. Not to discount Wildcat at all, but Big Blue has a nice look and a tough layout. Lots of water to deal with. Definitely a ball strikers course. Great times!!!
Unfriiendly Staff
I wish I could say this is the first time this has happened to me but it isn't . My buddy and I decided to play a quick 9 holes around 5:30. It had been raining all day but around 3:30 the sun came out and it was a nice day. We got to the course and we were the only ones there. When my buddy went in to play the lights were out in the pro shop (which they are usually turned off and the guy asked him if we would be quick. Very odd considering it was only 5:30.
Great course. Good value but the staff was very unfriendly. They had a 1:00 and 2:00 outing and at 8:00 in the morning the staff was too busy getting the carts out to help the groups that had early tee times. As a matter of fact they were telling us that the course was closed and we can’t play. We had to wait until the Pro showed up at 8:15 to get us our for a 8:28 booked time.
Need for course manager
Played this big blue course twice and both times pace of play was extremely slow. This last time we waited 20 min. to tee on next hole. It was a 5 1/2 hour day to play 18.
Exceeded expectations.
Booked a round for wife and I at the course just the night before. Course was in great shape and was a pleasure to play. Only negative was pace of play was not good. Waited at every tee box for at least 5 minutes but to put things in perspective we golfed 5 days in a row and it was the same way at each of the courses in Kentucky. I am certain that in other states that would not be the case.
