Bowie Golf Club

I played Bowie yesterday for the first time in several years. It was understandably wet from a big storm the day before and the greens were very slow. The greens also suffer from lots of slob players that are too lazy to fix their ball marks. Otherwise, I was pleasantly surprised with the overall condition of the course. It was also the first time that I played from the senior tees and their placement seems to be a little too generous (same as red markers) on several holes. There should be a white/gold combo added to offer something around 5500 yards.

This is a very good course for mid-high handicappers. It’s fairly short and the fairways are forgiving. Some holes are challenging like the 197yd par 3 17th and the 415 yrd par 4 3rd & 4th. There’s also the 509 par 5 9th which is easy to par but difficult to birdie unless you have a good draw at 185 yards. They installed a new irrigation system last spring and fall and the course is in great condition. It does have difficultly draining on several holes though after a heavy rain. Biggest drawback is they don’t put out any drinking water on the course and the clubhouse needs some renovations. Oh, and the greens are some of the slowest in the state but that plays well for high handicappers.

Noticably improved course conditions. Greens were in real good shape, fairways excellent, Bunkers much improved, all debris cleared from previous storms, Highly recommend play to all skill levels.Need to provide Drinking water when feasible, noted none was available.Would like to see a Marshall or Player Assistance on the weekends as the pace of play tends to be slower.

They did cart path only..But the cart path worse of seen in my 50+, greens were very grown out..-slow..Fairways were half way decent tee bags as expected.. The Marshall is more worried about sining yoir name than pace of play..They should've just picked tge soaked holes and had yoi not drive on them....You can't drive on the cart path without a 4wheel drive cart..Justc saying .and speaking truth..The young kids at the end of the round were much friendly and helpful..

Course was challenging with a fun layout. Pace of play was great and never had to wait on anyone. Was able to play on a hot deal for 40/person including cart rentals so great value for the money 👍🏻

The snack bar needs to stay open longer. your losing out on alot of revenue!!

It was cart path only due to heavy rain the night before. They need to repair the pot holes and cracks in the cart paths.

I live very close to this course and enjoy it for the most part but it is frustrating when they can't improve the pace of play. I'm always amazed at how courses are fairly good at getting people on the course but not so good at keeping them moving along and being considerate of gofers behind them.

Course conditions are really improving. Noticeably lots of work going on to improve the playing conditions. Greens and fairways are excellent. Ruff improving. Need working cart paths. A pleasure to play there.

Don't go here. I usually play here once a year but always bad. 3 hrs 9 holes pace. Slow greens. Either hard or really fairways. Never good condition

The course keeps getting better. Well done to the staff. When you fix the cart paths, it will be great!

I enjoy hitting from the gold tees as I am 77 years old & have more fun having chances to be on most holes in regulation to score well !

There's nothing fancy about this course; however it's a great course to play with challenges for every golfer. Wonderful management team.
